Looks like Disney may be testing Magical Express pick up from Downtown Disney in August.

I love that idea. I usually end my Disney vacation at DTD to do some last minute shopping and to grab some lunch. It would be great to get a little extra time not having to take a bus back to my hotel!

If they can do dtd, Why not pick you up at the hotel nearest your final park for the trip. Like the poly from MK or beach club from Epcot or Hollywood studios. AKL from Ak. Love the idea either way

initially I was skeptical because then I'd have to take my carryon with me to DTD instead of leaving it and hurrying to DTD and back. I suppose if you don't have a rolling carryon or large carry-ons this would be awesome.

I love this idea except for the idea of having to carry our carry on around...If they came up with a place to store them at DTD that would be great

I like the idea but not sure I would use it. I always checked my suitcase at the resort but will still have my carry on bag. I don't think I would want to carry it around with me.

Our carry-ons are backpacks, so hauling them around wouldn't be a huge issue. If we only had a couple of hours to kill and maybe wanted to go to Earl of Sandwich for lunch before catching the Magical Express, this would be great. If we had more time and wanted to hit a park before leaving, I think I'd prefer to leave the backpacks at the hotel and grab them there before catching the ME.
