If you were going to stay at a Disney Value Resort, where would you stay and why?
Disney Value Resorts
Disney's Art of Animation Resort. Hands down. Loved the theme rooms in the pics. Just looks like a lot of fun.
We're eyeing Art of Animation, but it doesn't really fit us. Otherwise we're 100% POP. All-Stars are fine, but we've always had better experiences at Pop Century.
Pop Century is my hands down choice.
At the end of the game, pawns and kings go back into the same box.
I would love to try Art of Animation but I'm a Pop Century girl.

We stayed at Allstars music and it was great but I think I would try Pop cause I hear the quick serve there is fabulous and I like to try different places to see which fits us the best.
I loved Pop!! If we go back with a group we would def. stay at Art of Animation though... if its just me and the hubby, the Pop it is... but I think we're going for a Moderate or Deluxe next time!
What makes POP stand out from the ALL STAR Resorts?
What makes POP stand out from the ALL STAR Resorts?
I haven't stayed at any of the other value resorts except for POP, but from what I have heard here is what makes it stand out...
*its newer and more upgraded then the other value resorts
*the buses that come to POP ONLY go to Pop.. so you have a straight shot to wherever you are going and less time waiting for a bus to get you where you're going or back to the resort
That all I really know that sets it apart, but we LOVED Pop!
I've stayed at the AllStars and Pop. I'm going with friends in October and we're staying at Pop. Its a great resort.
We're staying at the AoA Dec 13-15 and again Dec 22-27
I can't wait

Working to pay for my next Disney vacations:
June 2013 quick stay at AKL, then DCL b2b on the Dream Bahamas, June 30th BWI, Oct. 11-20,2013 HKDL and Tokyo DL/DS, June 2014 DCL -Fantasy Western Caribbean, and September 2014 DCL - Magic Southern Caribbean -My Birthday Cruise!!
Pop Century is my first choice, more central location, more variety at the food court, and better transportation then the All Stars IMO. The All Stars are fine, and actually even a little bit cheaper then Pop, but unless I'm staying at Sports, where I could care less about the theming, the buses can be an issue.
We are staying in POP this December. My first thought was to stay at AoA but we were only getting a room and not a family suit. The problem I see is that the only buildings that have standard rooms are the outer most buildings. Therefore we chose to stay at POP.

I've only ever done All Star Movies. I want to try Art of Animation though.
Stayed at POP a few years ago and LOVED it...am considering staying at All Stars this September just to try out something new. Love staying at new resorts, just to compare to see what it's like everywhere.

rabelgirls Goodness are there more than one of you?
Anyways welcome to WDWFG so glad you joined us and feel free to tell us all about your past trip AND food is a big topic around here so what are your favorite WDW places to eat. Again welcome hope you feel right at home here.

Andy and I LOVED Pop! It's the only resort I have ever stayed at and we would for sure do it again. The bus system was great, we had no issues the whole trip. The food court was really good, we actually enjoyed it a lot and went there often for drinks and snacks. We loved the theme of the place, took an afternoon just to walk around and see everything, taking fun pictures. The room was simple but that is so a non issue for us.
I love what I am seeing about Art of Animation but I still think we would go back to Pop if we don't do a Moderate next trip.

I've stayed at Pop several times...actually we've stayed at all of thm except AoA but that changes in December.

We've only stayed at AllStar Sports, but we've stayed there twice. Loved it. It's fun, friendly and has one of the better food courts we've been to. The buses can get a bit full on the way back from the parks or DTD, but there does seem to be more of them so it kind of evens out.

Does Pop have mini fridge standard in all rooms now? Or is it still on a rental basis?
Welcome Kari. I believe all rooms have a mini fridge now.

I love The Pop Century. I'm looking forward to AoA this winter.
