Disney World "Must Do" Ride List

If someone were going to WDW for the first time and could only ride five rides, which should the definitely do. I think that's somewhat different than your "favorite rides." For example, I think Muppet Vision 3D is a "must do," but I don't go ride it every time I'm there. So my "Must Do 5:"

Splash Mountain
Expedition Everest
Muppet Vision 3-D
Tower of Terror
Space Mountain

Wow...I have nothing from Epcot?

It's funny, because magic kingdom is my favorite, but I always spend the most time at epcot (i like to eat).

I usually spend one day each at DHS and DAK and do what I want to see and split the rest between the other two.

Ha! So do you just wait when he's riding the drop-you-stuff, or do you split up?

Geeze...top five? That's like asking which of your kids you'd want to keep! wink

If I only had enough breath left in me for five:

Tower of Terror
Pirates
Expedition Everest
Space Mountain
Haunted Mansion

Honorable mention to Primeval Whirl because I've not seen it mentioned anywhere, but I think it's fun.

Primeval Whirl is great, but I hear it's been "toned down" after that CM got killed. sad

I had not heard about that. Now that I've read up on it though, it doesn't look like it had anything to do with the ride. Information said the ride was funtioning properly and she was in a "prohibited area". Still very sad.

That was actually one of my favorite rides. I'm anxious to see how the changes affect it. We spent most of our time in AK riding EE and Primeval Whirl.

There's a ride a lot like PW here at Hershey Park called Wild Mouse. It looks like a simple 'family' ride, but it really is WILD and a loads of fun.

The park near where I grew up had a Wild Mouse knockoff that had very sharp turns. The car didn't rotate though, which is what I think makes the PW so great.

The Wild Mouse cars don't rotate either, but it seems to me the turns are even more sudden and 'sharp' than PW. It's quite scary actually, but you are not able to be scared because you're smiling so big (or laughing/giggling).

On both the Primeval Whirl and Wild Mouse rides I like to try to look straight ahead so that you can't really see the track very well, but you can see that it doesn't continue ahead. Especially in the Primeval Whirl, since the cars are so big, it looks like you're about to go off into the middle of nowhere.

Oh yeah, that adds to the fun factor! On WM, the cars are smaller, so you can look out over the edge (down) when you're turning that way.

edit: Sorry for the tangent. I'll keep it on topic from here on out.
