Do You Care About View When Dining?

How much do you guys care about the view when you're dining. For me it's a really big thing. I love watching "Wishes" from the Poly at O'hana for example. Of course dining is a big thing to me to begin with. Do you "count off" for bad views at restaurants?

I think it only matters in a few circumstances, like the example you cite. Another example would be a lagoon side table at Rose and Crown, especially for Illuminations.

Otherwise, to me, it's not that big a deal.

Having said that, I will say that whenever I eat at Flame Tree BBQ I try to get a table down low, with a water/Everest view.

I think view is a HUGE plus. It's like when you eat outside at a cafe. It helps you enjoy the meal if you are in uplifting surroundings.

Well how can you go wrong with a view like this...

Flame Tree offers some spectacular views that are not to be missed, which is why Andrew stood in line while I scoped out a good table!

Otherwise, a view of IASW in Pinocchio's Village Haus is nice, but not necessarily worth waiting for. Most of the time I wouldn't wait for a table with a view, but when you get one, it sure is nice!

That's a great view of Everest. It's been a while since I was at Flame Tree (I think pre-Everest!).

I'm really partial to views and will request a window table at most table-service restaurants.

I also have a thing about sitting where I can see out toward the restaurant instead of facing a wall. It's fun to people watch and see what everyone else is ordering. But, then again, I'm just a closet foodie who loves to see how things are presented.

Even in counter service restaurants, I tend to vye for great views. Casey's, Electric Umbrella, Pecos Bills...I'm always the dork trying to find the best view of the castle or the window table. Smile
