So today I ran across someone who collects those souvenir popcorn buckets. Does anyone else do this?

No, but I hear that it's fairly popular, especially for Disneyland folks. There seems to me to be a greater variety there.
When my daughter was 10 however, she decided that she was keeping her popcorn "bucket" no matter what, it was a special souvenir to her and nothing would change her mind. Unfortunately we had not bought the bucket, and she was keeping the disposable cardboard container on her desk, refilling it with microwave popcorn every day. LOL.
Ryry, we'll be in Disneyland in 12 days (our park days are 4/9, 4/11, 4/12), where can we find you to say hello?

my parents have a couple from when we were in WDW the past few times. I didn't realize they kept them until last time I went home and they were still in the cabinet.

How exciting! You're coming at a great time! The weather has been perfect and crowd levels are fairly low. Unfortuntly I'll be backstage or off all of those days as I'm actually being trained as a Lead!! But that's so sweet of ya to want to say hi! If you need any last minute advice please let me know!

Awww, sorry that we'll miss you but congrats on becoming a lead!!
I think that we're good, the only concern I have is being able to get a decent seat for fantasmic. LoL...

I wouldn't say we collect them. We do have three from our trip in 2005. Did not pick up any in 2009....may have to pick some up in October!

We have a stitch bucket from Tokyo Disneyland. I'm not attached to it at all. I've never thought to sell it or throw it out. It's in great shape. We had pepper popcorn.
