Do you have to go to ALL the parks?

I'm an all-park junkie. If I go to WDW for two days, I spend half a day at each park! eek laugh I can't stand going to Orlando without walking through the gates of all four WDW theme parks, though I have done it once -- I had to miss the Magic Kingdom because we were staying close to Epcot and MGM and had a reservation in AK Sad It was SO sad to be in WDW and not see the castle!

I'm guessing that if you go often enough, it becomes more comfortable to miss a park now and again.

I'm a one park per day girl.

I'm not a rope drop person so by the time I get to the park, I've run out of time to visit anywhere else most days.

I try to do one day in a park and then one day in the resort or something off site like outlet mall shopping or visiting Mt. Dora, etc. and keep alternating. I just don't have the energy I used to so relaxing in between makes it a more enjoyable trip for me now. wheelchair

We always try to do all the parks..but there have been a few trips where Animal Kingdom has been left off the list. We used to live around five hours away so our trips were long weekends but they were more often so we never really felt like we were missing too much.
I don't know if I could ever go to Disney and NOT go to MK. That would be torture. I don't even feel like my trip to Disney has started until I've seen Philharmagic.

We usually do a morning someplace and sometimes a night someplace. They don't have to be the same place at all and are determined by a ton of factors.

I think we've had trips where we didn't make it to some of the parks though.

I've only been to AK once in the summer (well...June...), and it was pretty bad. The heat from the "greenhouse" that is the park + the crowds is just too much. I think from now on, if we visit in the summer, AK will be an evening EMH kind of park.

We hit all the parks at least twice. When we go these days, we stay for 14 days.

I don't think we've ever skipped a park altogether, though for a while we would limit AK to a half day. But last time we went, we spent a whole day at AK and thought "wow, we may need more time here next time!"

There really is a lot to explore there! When it's cool outside, it's the perfect place to wander and take note of fine details!

Bali, I am with you on this one. I have to go to all of the parks. We always stay for a week though so that is not a problem.

Our last trip was 10 days so we had loads of time to hit all the parks.
And to be honest, I wouldnt fly all the way from New Brunswick Canada to miss out on anything Disney....So yes, I have to go to all the parks.
Our next trip is going to be 15 days , So we'll be doing universal for 2 days as well.

You guys are going to have a great time! Why did I think you were from the UK, though? Hmm...

Just makes us aware how far out of the norm we( Jan and I ) are. We never go to any parks but we sure love Disney World.

We have done trips where we didn't make it to all four parks. But, we've never gone to WDW without going to MK an d Epcot. Usually it's DHS or AK that we miss, but now that Toy Story Mania is at DHS...it's a hard one to miss!

Yeah!!! Only 54 days!! When I added the counter we were up in the 200s!!! WooHoo!!!

I've reached the point where I'm having random Disney daydreams - I was fixing a cup of chai tea at the office today and instantly though of getting a Chai at AK!!

Thanks for the reminder, Millie! I think we might go to AK tomorrow to do just that!

When I was a youngin' I knew a couple in their 60's who loved Disney and never went to the parks and I thought it so odd but now that I'm in my 40's I totally understand them.

I've actually had trips when I didn't visit the parks either but most times I visit at least one park. Of course I live so close that short trips are possible and it's not a big deal on a 4 day trip to only go to one or two parks. I can always come back another weekend.

Visiting with my elderly Mom makes me slow down and smell the roses and really enjoy the other side of Disney which is outside of the parks walls.
