Doing Laundry in Disney World

Does anyone ever go for long enough to do laundry? We had a two-week trip once, and I actually had to throw some clothes in the washer --SUPER EXPENSIVE, but I liked that I could spend some time by the pool awesome

One of the biggest perks (IMO) of staying at OKW is having the washer and dryer right there in the room!!
Even when I go for 7 nights.. I do laundry around day 4.

It just helps and I pack less.. annnd.. if you go KNOWING you're gonna do laundry, you can take those travel packs of detergent and dryer sheets!

ALSO...

going home with a suitcase full of CLEAN CLOTHES is awesommmmeeee!!!!

I always do laundry while there. I agree one great perk of DVC is the washer and dryer in your villa. I do it even if we do not stay in a DVC room though. Another perk of driving is we have plenty of room to pack laundry supplies.

Gosh, that's so true - you could just about get away with a carryon if you do your own laundry!

We are DVC members so we get the washer and dryer but I still take enough clothes to last the whole week without doing laundry. My thought on it is.....I'm on vacation....I'm not doing laundry....Although my mother in law does laundry so she does it for me....LOL

As non DVC. We do laundry it is about the the same as any othe laundry mat I would imagine. I didn't think it was too crazy. But we do bring our own soap.

Agreed... but it did come in handy last trip when we needed a couple things washed.

Having children, we have had to definitely do laundry! They just seem to go through clothing so fast! I do like hanging by the pool, but every time I go it seems like all the washers are being used and then the dryer needs to go through 2 cycles. Next trip I may just have to pack for 2 weeks! Tongue

We do the same if there for more than a week. Though last time "we" meant Joe did it while I checked out the pool to...um...make sure it was up to standards.

We always went in the evening or during a mid day break, and as long as Jose was waiting for me by the pool, I don't mind the laundry

eek eek So you must have one of those nice Mother-in-laws?? laugh laugh

Just kidding. If I was a DVCer and had the laundry equipment there in the room I'd totally do it. I hate coming home from a trip with nothing but dirty laundry. Make's my head hurt. I wouldn't pay for it at the resorts unless I had too. I am far too cheap for all that.

Is there any option to just pay to have them do your laundry for you? I'm thinking for time saving reasons, really

I think they do have an option to have laundry picked up from your room. I'm not sure the fee though.
