Easter Break

So completely unexpectedly my DH started talking about taking a trip to WDW! yay We've had a rough couple of months with a lot of stress and need a break. We usually like to go in August around our anniversary but aren't sure that we'll be available at that point. SO my DH has been talking about going at Spring Break. I'm hesitant to do it because of how busy it would be. We'd look at arriving on Easter Sunday and coming home the following Sunday.

Have any of you done WDW at Spring Break? Don't get me wrong...I KNOW it's busy. But is it so overwhelmingly busy that it's not even fun? Is it at all possible to get one rides or enjoy yourself? We wouldn't go to the parks on Easter...probably just veg out around the resort.

Thoughts?

Coming home the following Easter? Wow, what a trip! laugh

We've not been Spring Break but everyone was warning us about Thanksgiving week and it wasn't too bad. Maybe Spring Break is different??? We did go end of April for Food and Wine and it wasn't bad that time either.

LOL Really I was just envious of Robyn and Sy's awesomely long trip and wanted to see if I could top it. Easter to Easter does it!! silly (Sunday to SUNDAY though is more realistic.)

Your comparison to Thanksgiving is sort of what I'm hoping for. We wouldn't be taking any kids so I'm wondering if our ability to be more flexible would work in our favor here?

The nice thing about Spring Break (vs. Christmas) is that schools across the country have different dates that they take their breaks, so you never have that intense all at once crown of people like you do for Christmas break. I've been twice in March recently and though it was quite crowded, it wasn't insane. The only problem I had anywhere was Main Street & MK Central Plaza right before fireworks, and that was too much for me.

Right before the fireworks is always too much for me. The crowds and the being pushed along by the CMs along the sidewalk is one of my least favorite times. We usually sneak to the back now and hit a few rides before the crowds come back.
So maybe Spring Break wouldn't be too bad.

I think we should all strive to top Robyn & Sy's trips! laugh

We watched fireworks from between the carousel and Pinocchio's our last trip. low crowds and the fireworks are literally all around you.

I do hear the parks hit capacity over Easter weekend. But then they said that about thanksgiving too and we too found it manageable (we didn't go into the parks on thanksgiving day mind you).

Easter to Easter would be a blooming good trip laugh
