Just curious if anyone is having an issue with email notifications that show up out of the blue?
Today, I received 6 emails from the forum informing me that someone posted on various threads I've participated in. However, I'm not subscribed to any threads. The posts were not recent either. It's like the system suddenly sent out a pile of messages for older threads.
This has happened a couple of times in the past as well.
Anyway, I just wanted to report it in case it needs to be looked at.
I've gotten 120-something email notifications so far this afternoon/tonight ... And counting. Goes back to when I first joined. I'm going to try to just turn my notifications off. If you need me, I'll be deleting emails.

Okay, so I'm not alone then. The strange thing in my case is that I don't have any subscriptions to threads so I don't know why I'm getting notifications in the first place.

I only get the newsletter, which came today. Hopefully you can figure that out soon - I'm sure it's annoying!

I turned off and deleted my subscriptions ... And still just got 31 more notification emails.
Ahhhhhhhh!

Ok so I just got home and I had 408 notification emails!!! Glad it's not just me but how do I get this to stop.
I had 31. So I'm lucky. Still love our little site.
I just got a bunch more. I'm going to mark them spam. Not ideal, but at least it will stop.

I also received a few email notifications for a thread I had commented on a few weeks ago. When I checked my subscriptions, the thread was there. I was able to delete the subscription with no issues, although I have no idea how I got signed up. 
I received a newsletter a couple of hours ago. It's dated November 25, 2013.
Mrhub is working midnights so he is napping at the moment. He did mention right before he went up that he had received over 100 emails. I just saw this thread so signed into my email and sure enough...I have 24 pages of them. Mine were sent at around 3:30 this afternoon though. I will mention this thread to him although I do not think there is anything he can do about it.
admin has been made aware of the problem and will be addressing the issue.

I have over 200 from here, it started this afternoon. Glad they're fixing it.
Hi again, all -- it looks some users' email queues were not sending notifications or newsletters, and due to a software error they were all sent at once.
We're checking out the situation and will have things under control soon!
