Fab Four Flower and Garden Trip!

Hi! And welcome to my Trip Report! We had 16 nights of fun, laughs and a heck of a lot of memories that I would love to share with you! We've laughed, we've cried (with laughter) and had some of the hottest weather I've ever came across in Disney! So let's get on with the trip!

We had a stressful week leading up to this trip, mam had a knee spasm after being stuck in traffic on the Tuesday before we were due to set off, this combined with problems she is having with putting weight on her wrists made it extremely difficult for her to go from sitting to standing and vice versa, we ended up at the hospital who provided her with strong painkillers to get her moving again which did help but also resulted in giving her water retention in 1 leg and up until leaving we still weren't sure how she would manage walking or even sitting for periods of time, but sorry for the spoiler she did phenomenally well and I'm super proud of her!

Sunday 23rd April

We woke up and thankfully mam's knees seemed to be easing up but we still decided we would leave early to give us more time for stops etc....that didn't happen but with the help of yoda we were on our way!

We actually had the perfect weather for driving, the sun was shining, the car was warm but not too hot and we had positive mental attitude and music! We had planned to stop but mam didn't feel she needed to so we powered on and just got to our destination quicker! We (I) sang, we ate sweets and looked at the stunning views on your journey, Mam took some lovely pictures out of the window it really was the best travelling day!

Before we knew it we arrived, auntie and uncle were on their way in their own car but we got checked in and had 1st floor room with a perfect view of my car! I think I actually forgot to take pictures of the room, the outside doesn't look like much at all but the rooms are huge and the beds are super comfy!

IMG_4333 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Auntie & uncle arrived shortly after so got them all checked in, mam had a shower and I had a small nap before we headed down for some food, we had a pre-paid meal plan which we did last April and the food and experience was outstanding however this time was really lacking it took almost 3 hours to get through the whole meal with us having to ask to order or for anything really the whole meal, they didn't clear away the plates before the next course came out, we have passed our concerns onto the hotel and I really hope they take it on board because it was outstanding before and I'm sure they could get back there again, the food however when it did arrive was lovely I think me and mam both had prawns to start off (I don't have a picture of any other starter!) and for mains mam had steak and I had Mixed Grill both were beautiful! We also had desserts I had ice cream and mam had Eton Mess again both were lovely, I'm having a total block and cannot remember what auntie and uncle had I think they liked theirs but we were all unhappy about how long the meal took which had an impact on how long we slept but before long we were snuggled up and dreaming of Disney!

Monday 24th April

We had a pretty early start for us this morning 5am! We are not morning people anything before 10am is too early especially for me! We got up, ready and all cases packed and back in car and headed down to breakfast where we found auntie and uncle! We finished up breakfast it was nice lots of choice but it's too early for food!

IMG_4346 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We headed out to car and to the meet and greet, from this hotel it's a much easier and much quieter than from the other hotel so we made it in no time all nice and relaxed, handed the keys in and headed to the terminal, we got checked in and through security quite quickly and smoothly now we just had to wait for the flight, we walked through duty free picked up some perfume for mam and for a girl at work, we decided at this point to go get a drink in the bar, auntie and uncle stayed responsible and got coffee and hot water me and mam got wine " I was starting this holiday right! as we were waiting the guy in front of us got these huge glasses of wine immediately I thought "I'm having some of those so just asked for 2 large glasses of wine.....well to say the glasses were the size of my head would be pretty accurate! It was decent size glass too (It should be for what we paid for them haha)

IMG_4347 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Before long the gate was released so we finished the drinks and headed off in the direction of the gate I needed to get some drinks for on the plane as we were in line they announced they were boarding so I sent mam off to gate with her being slower, a couple of minutes later they were announcing final boarding call so panicking I got served as quickly as possible and ran through the airport to the gate (I don't run so this was even harder because I was out of breath!) finally get to the gate (possibly the gate furthest away from where I started!) to find a huge line they hadn't even started letting people on the plane " I may have said a few expletives!!! This is a picture of our plane out of the window we were flying on Pretty Woman

IMG_4349 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We got on we were right at the back of the plane as there's a few rows with only 2 seats in meaning we have more room to spread out! usually we are some of the first on the plane but because of the huge line we were actually some of the last which actually worked in our favour as before long we were pulling out of the gate, we took off on time and was actually one of the quickest take off's we have ever had we decided that the pilot had dining reservations he didn't want to miss! We got our first round of drinks and the meal followed shortly after mam had a curry dish which she said was lovely but very spicy hot! I had the meatballs and actually ate them they were yummy (not as yummy as my teriyaki in September but I'll take it!) I watched Moana (I enjoyed it but I'm not totally in love yet but I will watch it again), Bridget Jones' Baby (amazing absolutely loved it!) and Bad Mom's (I enjoyed it and would watch it again)

We got afternoon tea which sadly has not changed (lemon crisps Virgin please change them!) and we landed only 8 mins late (very good for us usually we are 38 mins late or more!) got through security fairly quick and other than having a panic because we thought one of our cases was missing (it wasn't) we got on our way, dropped big cases back off for magical express to pick up and then we were onwards to Magical Express!

this was my afternoon tea seen as I don't like any of it!

IMG_4388 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We dropped off at Old Key West, Saratoga Springs and French Quarter before us but we didn't care WE WERE IN DISNEY!!! We checked in and literally had the most perfect rooms, we made our way to the rooms and I mean look at this view right out of our door!

IMG_4420 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Before long the cases started arriving, we usually got to Disney Springs but we were all wiped so we had food I was reunited with my pasta, we started to unpack but before long we just needed to sleep!

Tuesday 25th April

Thanks to Jet Lag I was up at 4am decided I'd carry on with the rest of the unpacking until mam finally woke up, went over and got the first drinks of the trip around 6.30 took some pictures on my way it was a beautiful morning although a little cooler than I'm used to!

Went back over a little later for some breakfast all the best holidays start with a mickey waffle right?

IMG_4463 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Before long it was time to get the hire car, we wanted to get out full 14 days out of our ticket and be able to get in on our last day we sacrificed the first day going to the parks " it killed me but we managed and we got a lovely Black Jeep Compass, went and picked the family up and we were off to the premium outlets.

Got some bargains in the character warehouse including a Vera Bradley crossover bag that I'm totally in love with! We had lunch at Subway then decided it was Walmart time (I get a little excited by Walmart time I love the shop!) we managed to get everything we needed for our stay and a few bags of candy to bring home!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We decided instead of taking the car back early the next morning we would take it back on the evening, so we did and got dropped off at Disney Springs, we walked through and decided on a Blaze Pizza, I'd heard so many good things about it the only thing I was worried about is I'm not really a pizza lover so much I don't like tomato sauce so I usually get BBQ but I was going to have to try a white sauce which was new to me I got bacon, chicken, red onion and mushrooms and mam got chicken, meatballs, red onion, peppers and mushrooms OMG best pizza I've had ever I'd even maybe say best quick service meal at Disney Springs (and that's hard for me because I loooooooove D-Luxe) seriously if you haven't been GO! You will not regret it it's amazing I actually want one right now.........

We picked up our $200 gift card on our way to the bus stop to get back to the resort we also picked up a cute Tiana cupcake on way back to room which was very nice! And sleep because finally tomorrow I get to go to a Disney park!!!!

Wednesday 26th April

We woke up around 7am and we were up ready and raring to go by 9 so me and mam set off while auntie and uncle decided to follow, the bus pulled in as we got to bus stop so on we got, we thought maybe we would have good luck with the buses this trip.....stay tuned!

IMG_4508 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Bag check was pretty quiet the lines to get in to EPCOT were not! It was so busy! We finally made it in and headed for Starbucks with a quick picture stop for Figment seen as nobody was there! I got a strawberry frapp and mam got a very berry hibiscus refresher both were yummy!

We headed over for our Soarin FP which was amazing as usual but auntie forgot certain parts of the ride " so funny! I now must always sit next to her every time we ride! We were pretty hungry by now and Sunshine Seasons is one of our favourite places to eat so it was a no brainer, mam had salmon and shrimp and I had pork both of which were delicious, for dessert I had mickey oreo cheesecake and mam has strawberry shortcake all was gorgeous so full!

We had no concrete plans for this evening but I was craving Magic Kingdom as I hadn't been there yet! So off we went, we had a look in some shops, had a ride on It's A Small World and decided to get a spot for the fireworks around Rapunzel area, I didn't take any photos I just decided to take it in as we didn't have many more opportunities to see it before it wished for the final time sad

Thursday 27th April

We were up I assume pretty early again maybe not as early as the first few days, we were Magic Kingdom bound today we got to the bus stop and I don't think I've ever seen so many folks at a bus stop at a resort! Managed to overhear that they were headed to Hollywood Studios phew! They filled a whole bus and there was still some left! Our bus came shortly after and we were on our way!

Had no problems through security and before we knew it we were heading to Big Thunder Mountain it was amazing we really missed it in September so we planned on making the most of it this trip! It was so incredibly hot today and it was only set to get hotter!

IMG_4802 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We headed to Peter Pan's Flight which is a cute little ride we enjoyed it.

IMG_4813 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We had some time to kill before our next FP and Lunch so we went onto Philharmagic which we all love but we got straight into a show going in so when we came out we still had about 20-30mins before our FP window opened so we decided we would have a ride on Under the Sea, turned out we timed it perfectly and just got out and round to 7DMT in perfect time for the window opening, we all love this ride soooo much!

We got out of there just about in time for our Lunch at Be our Guest so we timed it all brilliantly, we planned to switch our drinks for desserts but they said it wasn't possible here, as far as I know this is the only place we came across that we could swap but we were happy to use snack credits for the desserts anyway but for reference it's good to know we got our usual Braised Pork it's the best! And a master's cupcake for me and a strawberry cupcake for mam as per it was all amazing and we were sufficiently full!

IMG_4856 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_4855 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

While we sat and ate lunch I snagged us a Haunted Mansion FP so we headed over there, me and Auntie Bypassed the room, she loves the ride but the stretching room is not for her!

We decided to walk back to Frontierland, get the Train to Main Street and watch the Parade from up on the Train Station as we have never done that, mam stayed inside in the shade but the rest of us braved the scorching Rays it was about 34/35degrees Celsius (I don't know Fahrenheit but I know it was HOT!) we had some wonderful marching bands, I unfortunately didn't hear the names but I have to give credit to them they were amazing and dancing around and playing those large instruments in that heat bravo! I have no pictures because I videoed them

It seemed like a lifetime before the parade actually arrived, it was amazing to see from a different perspective but the characters don't really look up so you can't get many good photos, but I was so happy I've been and tried it out

After the parade finished I spotted the Main Street Philharmonic and as I came out of the restrooms managed to catch a bit of the Dapper Dan's, I love Main Street it's so gorgeous!

IMG_4947 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We decided we would head back to the resort for a little freshen up before heading out to Disney Springs on the Evening, the line was HUGE, 2 boats came and left and another boat was due and we knew we would get on, when this lovely gentleman came over and asked if anyone wanted a ride on the "Party Boat"........OF COURSE so off we went with a family of 4 and another couple and us 4 that's it! Beautiful cream leather seats the lot well it was quite easily the best thing that has ever happened to us we felt like celebrities! He told us lots of facts going down, asked where we wanted dropping of which everyone decided on the Landing beside the Boathouse very central, I asked for a picture of our wonderful driver Fred and he had the most beautiful sunset behind him, it was the most amazing night ever and I was officially spoilt for going on any other boats!

We had a wander round then decided on Wolfgang Puck for dinner, auntie and uncle had Meat Loaf, mam had salmon and I Had chicken alfredo all of which were absolutely amazing I do love eating at Wolfgang Puck! Auntie and Uncle headed back but me and mam decided to have a drink at Dockside Margaritas mam had a cider and I had some margarita but what it was I have no clue haha was nice though!

Friday 28th April

We had a free morning which we spent having a lie in! Oops not planned but it was needed! We decided to head to Animal Kingdom early and get some lunch I think we did okay with the buses!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

On walking in we saw DiVine she is just stunning took some pictures but it really doesn't do her justice, she did the most graceful jump and stretch and I wish I could have videoed it it's the best thing I've ever seen her do just beautiful!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We headed to Restaurantosaurus we got double bacon cheeseburgers with wildberry lemonade and a soft drink I think the desserts they had I didn't fancy but wow once I saw the burger I don't think a dessert would have fit anyhow! They were HUGE! Auntie and uncle had text to say they were in the Park so we headed off to meet them.

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We met them at Kali River Rapids where the stand By was 90mins it must be hot out! They had FP though so we waited for them coming round managed to snag a picture of them waving!

We had no more FP til later on so we decided to take the train to Conservation Station as we never seem to make our way up there and auntie and uncle hadn't been before we had a lovely journey up and even saw some rhinos and elephants on our way.

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We had a look around spotted Doc McStuffins didn't go and meet her though however Rafiki was there and I really wanted to meet him so we got in line it was a great meet! We also saw some of the fabulous creatures they have up there which was fascinating

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

I have the exact same picture as this from when I was a kid had to re-enact it!

We didn't go to the affection section because I'm a bit scared of petting any animals I think auntie and uncle went out and enjoyed it but we decided after that to head back down to Harambe Village.

It was super-hot so me and mam went to Starbucks and auntie and uncle got some kind of ice cream and we headed down to Festival of the Lion King ended up in the Elephant Section again the show was outstanding as usual it's one of my favourite shows in Disney!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We decided we would try and get into the next show of Finding Nemo, on our way we came across this Dance Party (Viva Gaia I think) it was catchy but there was also a group of cheerleaders doing the dances it just made the atmosphere more electric, we stopped for a short while but we were cutting it fine to get in so we kept on moving

We made it to Finding Nemo just in time and watched the show - probably my second favourite show in Disney!

It was time for our Expedition Everest FP but it was down so we hung around for a while waiting to see if it came back up but it didn't look likely but it was coming up time for our night-time safari (it was actually dark but let's go anyway!) we caught another dance party (maybe the Karibu Sisters?) I love the dance parties they give such energy to the parks and there should be more of them!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We made it up to the Safari saw some wonderful animals it may not have been dark but I loved it anyway!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We came off and I was sooo thirsty and auntie and uncle wanted some food so we stopped at Flame Tree, they had pulled pork fries and I was told they were absolutely amazing!

We headed up to Rivers of Light it was still before the FP arrival time but the theatre was filling up! We managed to get a seat we didn't realise that the further down you got the steeper the stairs so you had more of a gap between the row in front of you, we stayed pretty high and there wasn't much difference in height between rows so auntie had difficulty seeing over the head my tip is head down the front!

The show was stunning I've included a few pictures they don't do it justice it is beautiful however I'd say for kids it may be a bit boring but I enjoyed it and would go and see it again

As we were coming out we realised Expedition Everest was open, we had never used our open FP from earlier so auntie and uncle headed out while we headed onto the ride, we ended up in the front row (didn't ask) with a full train full of cheerleaders! It was loud but honestly one of the most amazing experiences ever! Was I inside? Was I outside? Who knew but I loved it! Seriously recommend it if you love Everest!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We slowly made our way out of the park it was so quiet it was beautiful, as we made it to the Tree of Life there was a Tree of Life awakening I had literally just been saying how I was gutted I hadn't seen one, I don't know how many there is but we saw the lion one wow stunning I need to see more of those!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We waited ages for the buses and decided instead of cramming onto the bus before us we would wait to get a seat for mams knee (we did this a lot I recommend it if you want to make sure you get a seat it's a few extra mins but it is worth it) we got pasta and bed!

Saturday 29th April

We slept in by accident (oops) so quickly got ready and headed to Disney Springs for our reservation at Homecomin', turns out we ended up being early we got seated quickly but the place was packed! This place had been so much of a hit with us first time round we hoped it measured up, mam got wine and I got lager with a coke too! Last time we came I had the pulled pork and mam had the chicken and mine was outstanding but I'd been dreaming of that chicken for the past 6 months so we ended up both having it! My opinion it was out of this world!

We got an order of pecan pie to go as I loved that from last year (got me through hurricane Matthew did that Pecan Pie!) all in all this place is an absolute must do for us and one of these days I'm sure I'll see Art Smith!

We headed back to the room with the pie to put in the fridge, saw auntie and uncle waiting at the bus stop we said we would follow them along well we got back to the bus stop and we waited, and waited and waited and waited for what felt like an eternity!

We finally made it to EPCOT met up with auntie and uncle and rode Spaceship earth, I love that ride!

IMG_5233 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We headed to the Festival Centre stopping to take pictures of the topiaries on our way I love the fab five just outside the Festival Centre! We had a look around but there isn't as much going on in there as when Food and Wine is on so we didn't spend a lot of time there. We headed round to Mexico to ride 3 Caballeros the line was HUGE! It did move quickly but I never realised the ride was so popular!

We headed to Norway for Frozen FP we have never rode this yet I was still raw from Maelstrom my notes was " meh it's not awful but I don't really wanna go on again the faces freak me out they just don't look right, I'm so pleased I've been on it but I certainly won't be using a tier 1 FP for it no chance neither will I wait more than maybe 10-15mins for it so I dare say I won't be riding for a while haha!

I felt like I deserved a treat so China pavilion was calling my name and candied strawberries in particular! I have an unhealthy obsession with them and I could not pass the stand without some!

IMG_5313 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

The Jewelled Dragon Acrobats were just starting so we stopped to watch them, photos aren't great but they were I recommend watching them!

EPCOT was absolutely packed so we decided to get on boat and ride to Hollywood Studios we decided we would go in it was actually pretty quiet I was surprised we headed up to Star Tours seen as its auntie's favourite ride said 30min wait but we decided we would go with it.... as we walked under the sign they changed it to 10mins brilliant it was actually just a walk through! We got the Wookie planet first which we haven't had that was funny! Then we had underwater with Jar Jar, we came off and decided to go right back on it this time we were in the Wookie planet again first but then the city (Caruskin?)

IMG_5374 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Auntie wanted to ride a third time but we wanted to be out before Fantasmic came out so decided not to and it turned about to be the best decision ever we had a whole bus to ourselves! And as the bus pulled out the Star Wars fireworks started so we were watching them out of the window then as we exited the bus park we could see EPCOT's fireworks it was a magical bus ride I think we had food and bed

Sunday 30th April

We were headed to Magic Kingdom my notes say a bus arrived pretty quick there was obviously some fluke that morning! When we arrived I had an email to say Pirates of the Caribbean was down so we took a slow walk up Main Street saw this wonderful Citizen and also the Main Street Trolley Show!

It was super busy again so we jumped in the Country Bears as it was starting I love this show sooooooo much never ever change it!

IMG_5450 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We had time to kill before Be Our Guest so walked all the way round to Tomorrowland Transit Authority then back up to for our Lunch I had my usual pork and mam had a beef sandwich which she thought was delicious!

As we were walking out of the park we decided to take a detour and go on the Monorail to EPCOT seen as how in September I never stepped foot on a monorail and they all did and I have never let them forget it so off we went we had a wonderful time and got some great pictures out of the window! We just headed back to the room for a few hrs before heading back out to Magic Kingdom

Auntie and uncle were meeting us there we got the train round to Frontierland and we got a text to say they were running late, luckily they made it to us just in time for our Big Thunder Mountain FP it was great it was just getting dusky, we also rode 7 Dwarfs Mine Train which was great as usual!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

As we were in line for 7DMT I made a FP for Winnie the Pooh but it went down as we were waiting, however it came back up as we walked past so we just rode standby with no wait! By the time we came out the FP line was longer than the Standby!

It was coming up to Wishes time so found mam, auntie and uncle a seat and I went and found myself a place front and centre, I did have a light in front of me but it didn't obscure my view at all!, I videoed the whole thing so I had something to remember it with but mam did get some really good photos from their spot, I'll include a few of those

This was our last viewing of wishes, we did have plans to go back later in the trip but this night I had seen it from a pretty perfect view so I didn't want to spoil that memory by trying to squeeze another viewing in, I love wishes, I will always love wishes and I'm hoping that Happily ever after will do the Magic Kingdom Justice.

We hung around on the seats for a while auntie really wanted some fries so she went and got some and we ended up staying for once upon a time projection show, I couldn't see it clearly but what I did see I enjoyed very much and look forward to seeing it from the front!

We headed to the bus stop it was ridiculous busy and by time we got back to the resort the food courts had closed so we went without food sad but in all honesty we were so tired I think we just fell straight to sleep with plans for a big meal tomorrow!

Monday 1st May

We got up and were EPCOT bound, it seemed busy but we were Test Track bound so we headed straight there standby line had 220 mins really?! I checked on the app and sure enough! I took a screenshot we never have crazy times like that when we are here!

IMG_5594 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5595 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

The ride was great didn't seem that busy but we were in the FP line haha by the time we came out the wait time was down to 80mins which sounded more accurate! We walked over to the Land and rode Living with the Land we all love this ride!

We were feeling a hungry so we went in our favourite " Sunshine Seasons we both had pork and mam had key lime pie, I had a seasonal cupcake which as you can see below was super cute! And really nice too!

IMG_5610 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5611 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We were about to head out of the Land but Soarin' was only 40min wait so.........we ended up in there first! It was about 40mins including the ride which was a bonus!

We finally made it out of The Land we headed to the middle, called in Club Cool I finally got the courage to try Beverly and it wasn't even on! However Fanta Pineapple " Yum-my! We caught American Music Machine just outside and the group that they had that day were amazing much better than the last time we saw them last year they blended so much better

IMG_5628 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5641 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We headed right towards Canada and UK and caught British Revolution we adore this group have a little shimmy and shake!

IMG_5663 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

I'm not really sure why but we decided to get the boat to Hollywood Studios, we made it to Beach Club before it started to rain, by the time we made it to Hollywood Studios it was pouring! We headed straight for the bus and sure enough as the bus pulled away the rain stopped! We were soaked anyway so we had a freshen up and decided to go separate ways, me and mam decided we would go to Disney Springs for a Blaze Pizza we had exactly the same as we had the first night that's now my pizza it is just out of this world!

Tuesday 2nd May

We had a very early morning wake up for Be Our Guest Breakfast I love getting into the park early, I was worried with an 8.30 reservation the hub would be really busy it wasn't actually that bad and the signage is good as to where to check in for breakfast reservations, it's now the left side of the hub they scan your band and let you though, luckily Fantasyland is still all closed off and even though the carousel wasn't open to ride they still had the music playing which was lovely to hear!

IMG_5695 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5696 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5699 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We got straight in and found a seat and waited for the food now I don't have a great track history with the breakfasts at Be Our Guest they are nice but I've never found something I'd have again, I had feast a la Gaston in September and although I never tried it the idea of chicken sausage just didn't appeal to me! So I was very thankful they have just changed it to regular sausage and the meal was hot and beautiful and it's the first breakfast I've ever finished so yay me just need to pray they never change it!, uncle also got the feast which he enjoyed, mam and auntie got the open faced sandwich which usually comes on a baguette but they have changed it to a croissant, to us it seemed like a weird combination maybe some people like it but I don't think they were all that impressed, the bakery items were lovely as usual and just love being in Be Our Guest so much!

IMG_5712 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We had FP for Hollywood Studios so we headed out of the park, walking against the crowds as everybody else was coming in! we weren't sure if the bus to Hollywood Studios was at the bus park at Magic Kingdom or if we needed to go over to the Transport and Ticket Centre, luckily we didn't they have moved it to Magic Kingdom side and before long a bus appeared! We did have to make a detour to the Poly to pick guests up it was all a bit manic so don't know if there had been a problem with the buses or something but we didn't mind

IMG_5714 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

On our way to Hollywood studios it started to absolutely pour you could see the sheet of rain as we were driving towards it, it was still raining as we got to Hollywood studios so ponchos on and at the ready, it was super-hot too so the ponchos stuck to us it was getting towards the point where you could barely see in front of you, it did eventually start to slow down so me and mam decided we would go to our Tower of Terror FP the ride was great got straight round and in we had a great ride I don't know what clicked but suddenly I love this ride so much! On the way round the line we spotted this character just before you go inside on the right I've never seen her before but I've never really looked " I'll be looking for her from now onwards!

IMG_5720 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5721 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We came out and were just met with a sea of people in the Tower of Terror gift shop, apparently the rain had started again and even people who wanted to get out couldn't because they were met with a wall of people! Eventually we managed to squeeze out and rain slowed right down, we were in contact with Auntie and Uncle who had taken shelter in a shop and agreed once the rain slowed down we would meet at Toy Story Mania it was still fine raining but not as intense as it was there was a HUGE line for FP however we found out they only had 1 track running and weren't allowing any standby guests just FP but there could be longer waits, we decided to just hang on we had nothing else to do haha and actually the line went quick it was strange to see it so empty!

When we did eventually get on I won yippee! I was also the best in vehicle which I was happy about!

IMG_5725 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

It was still raining when we came out but ponchos at the ready and off we went to Star Wars we got the wookie planet again I don't know if that's the new start scene or not, but auntie got her favourite end scene where the yellow plane comes through the windscreen so she was happy!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We came out and there was beautiful sunshine! We made a FP for Great Movie Ride but decided to nip in the Muppets while we were there, we headed straight round to Great Movie ride and got right at the front we have never had that before! We also got the cowboy scene, it was great to see everything without anyone in front of you!

IMG_5749 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5761 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We went separate ways to auntie and uncle we headed back to the room for a freshen up before heading out to EPCOT, the plan was to eat our way around the outdoor kitchens! We started off with a violet lemonade " yep still as good as we remembered!

IMG_5775 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We wanted to try the pork tenderloin from Urban Farm Eats so I went to queue up, they were having a problem with the kiosks so I had to go to the collection window, as I got to the front of the line they were moving the stuff back to the kiosk, as I went to move the lady in charge of the booth asked what I wanted and I said just a pork and she said it was a "gift from mickey" I thought that was wonderful I hadn't complained or anything but I was the last person there at the time " it was gorgeous!

IMG_5776 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We changed directions and headed to La Isla Fresca and got the sugar cane shrimp and Jamaican braised beef both of which were amazing the winner was the shrimp for me the beef was a bit too spicy!

IMG_5778 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5779 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

oh according to my pictures I picked up a tiki torch too!

IMG_5781 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Next on the list was the Lotus House for " you guessed it " strawberries but also picked up the lettuce wrap which was gorgeous, little on the spicy side but I could take it!

IMG_5785 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5786 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We started to fill up so just walked until we reached the international Gateway taking photos on the way we were tired so needed a small rest so we got the boat to Hollywood Studios then the bus back to the resort we had a little relax before heading over for some food and bed ready for an early day driving to the beach tomorrow! To say I was excited was an understatement!

Wednesday 3rd May

We were up pretty early this morning to go and collect the car we got a Dodge Journey in white it was so pretty! Perfect car for the day! We drove it straight back to the resort, packed the car and off we went I'm sure it was about 10am

IMG_5814 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

The sat nav obviously hadn't been updated to the recent road closures on Disney property and wanted me to turn left when my only option was to turn right but having said that it recalculated itself and didn't really take anytime out of the journey, if nothing else we got to see new parts of Disney! Once we got on the I4 it was an absolute breeze I asked my passengers to take any photos possible and bless them they did a brilliant job (prepare for overload of pictures!)

Driving across the causeways has to be some of the best driving I've ever done it's just stunning and other than driving past where I was going to park then trying to find somewhere to turn back in we made it in no time however we were hungry!

Our beach for today was Anna Maria Island, we knew about this place because of my auntie and uncle, when they came in 2014 they had discovered this wonderful place and the pictures just do not do it justice it was simply stunning! Where we were there was a beach cafe so we went for some food I got a bacon cheeseburger and mam got a philly cheesteak sandwich oh wow this food was awesome and a really good price too!

IMG_5826 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5851 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

The sun was beating down and I was ready for my first in sea experience so with my very sexy swim shoes (because I don't like sand in my toes!) we were ready to go I did take my phone back to the safety of mam who was bag holder (she doesn't like the water and with her bad knees plus sand isn't a great combo) but just look at this water!!

IMG_5824 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5835 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5841 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

On the way down auntie had tied her hair up in a clip so it wouldn't get soaking well bless her cotton socks a wave caught her off guard and she just sent face first into the water then couldn't get up because of the waves it was so funny I was no help at all!

Eventually we got out and swimming it was beautiful I don't know why I waited so long to go in we people watched, we floated it was just stunning! I will certainly be doing that again! The sea was super salty and it was stinging my eyes so we got out, we had obviously been in the water for longer than we thought!

We had an ice cream while drying off then packed up and headed back to the car for the return journey, we stopped at a publix to get a few things

IMG_5848 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5850 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

As we were on our way out of Publix the Satnav rerouted us due to an incident we found out later there had been a 10 car pile-up on the larger of the 2 causeways and the cars and the town of Bradenton I believe was just a standstill, we did get into a flow of traffic and something we found quite funny happened, we were behind this truck the lights changed to red so he hopped out and got a mug he was obviously thirsty as he did I gave him a thumbs up, we moved a bit further along and he got back out of the car got a bottle of Gatorade and turned round and offered us some! We politely declined as we had loads of drinks but the whole thing just amused us you would never see that in Britain!

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Slowly but surely we did get moving and once we were out of the traffic it was fine however we were going to get back much later than expected, we also encountered a one of those rain storms where you can see it ahead of you and all you can do it drive straight at it! But we made it through and got back around 9pm we found out what had caused the back up and we really hope everyone got out safe but we couldn't find anymore information after that

Untitled by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We unpacked got food and I realised I had the most lovely pink face........with white eyes from my sunglasses oops! We were absolutely shattered so we weren't up very late!

What a lovely trip! I totally want to go back to Flower and Garden Festival again and reading your report cements that. I think I may enjoy it even more than Food & Wine.

1) What a great view you had of Festival of Fantasy, I've never watched it from the train station but it seems like the perfect perspective for these floats.

2) Homecomin'!! I love Homecomin' so much, it is absolutely my new favorite WDW restaurant.

3) That PANDORA bracelet is so pretty. I really want one, but I don't like to have things around my wrist. I either need to get over it, or just keep whining.

4) Anna Maria Island!! That's where Becks and I went in February and we LOOOOOOVED it. That's our beach! We had a rental about two blocks away from that little beach cafe. It was an amazing trip.

Oh Kristen we absolutely love Flower and Garden I saw something on facebook not too long ago about someone saying the Flower and Garden was taking over from Food and Wine and I stopped and thought "I think I agree" we are seriously thinking about changing our Annual Trip to Flower and Garden!

it was great view of the parade my only opinion would be to stand on the right hand side, we were on the left and most of the characters had looked away after the middle section they seem to look up as they get to the middle section - I'll be trying it again!

i agree 100% on Homecomin' I think its certainly my favourite TS! I could eat that chicken right about now!

I'm a bit like that with stretchy bracelets they are a big no no I have 2 Pandora Bracelets and I feel totally bare without them now!

oh wow what a small world!!! its so beautiful I for sure wanna go back! I probably tried to drive into wherever you were to turn around!

Thursday 4th May

May the 4th be with you!

There was only 1 place we were going to today " Hollywood Studios, when I realised we were going to be there for Star Wars Day I knew I had to have a top to celebrate the day! We waited absolutely ages for the bus to come so we missed the Toy Story Mania FP but I did get my picture took in front of the Chinese Theater (also want to give credit to Fairytale Sparkle for my wonderful top I love it!)

IMG_5885 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We met auntie and uncle by Frozen Sing a Long it was fabulous lots of Star Wars Pun's it was great the historians and characters were all amazing best one ever I think!

It was super busy but we were hungry so we headed to ABC I got the ribs and chicken combo and mam got the chicken sandwich, for dessert mam had the parfait while I had a baby Groot cupcake it was amazing best cupcake I've had I'd say!

IMG_5881 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

IMG_5880 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

We had FP for Star Tours because what else on Star Wars day?! It was a fab atmosphere they were telling corny jokes in the lines it was great!

IMG_5886 by Amy Roberts, on Flickr

Once we came out we didn't really have a lot left to do so we went our separate ways, I got the Star wars magic band in white it's so pretty! And then we headed back to the room for a freshen up and back out to EPCOT, I kept my May the 4th top on because I loved it so much!

We had a FP for Soarin' so headed round there the middle section and the top is certainly the best place to be! We set off to graze around the world we went to Urban Farm Eats for another one of those pork yum! Then onto Northern Bloom where we had 1 beef dish each and shared the scallops we enjoyed all of these

It was around 8.30 we were trying to find somewhere to sit and I suddenly got the urge for fish and chips we headed into the UK and asked this nice CM if there was any seats to eat our food because mam couldn't stand and eat with her knees so off she went with him to this "seating area" he came back and told me to let him know when I was served and sure enough he took me round the back of the fish and chip shop onto the waterside right beside the outdoor seats of the Rose and Crown and there was a few tables with the most breath-taking views of the water and the fireworks I have ever seen, they also gave us some Mickey vision glasses which are just super! It was the most magical thing ever his name was Ron and he was so awesome I had to get a picture with him he absolutely made our night and I got my fish and chips!

Friday 5th May

We headed to Animal Kingdom and headed straight up for Kilimanjaro Safaris, the weather was cooler and a bit cloudy but that obviously worked in our favour the animals were up and about! hands down the best safari I've ever been on, cheetahs up and walking about, baby giraffes, lions both male and female (I may or may not have several hundred pictures of a lion eating grass!) even the Mandrills (not sure of the picture quality though) I'll post some below but it was truly amazing to see!

After all the excitement we needed food so Flame Tree BBQ it was, I love the food but I'm always scared of the birds and some of you may remember in September I had a large bird just stare me out well mam bless her found a seat with no surrounding birds but as soon as I arrived one of the huge ones came and was standing further along as I took food off the tray the bird swooped down and took a huge chunk of pulled pork off my plate! I'm not even going to lie I was traumatised, I took my plate back and they gave me a new one, it was nice but I can't say I overly enjoyed it, overall I know it's not flame tree's fault but it has really put me off eating here again as it's made me so nervous I think I'll be sticking inside from now onwards!

Auntie and uncle had FP for Kali River Rapids and we had Expedition Everest so we each went on our rides then met up again and headed for Festival of the Lion King we ended up in a different section the warthogs! Show was amazing as usual!

Our final FP was for Dinosaur auntie and uncle have never been on it and me and mam rode it several years ago but I've never made it through without closing my eyes I just don't like it but for the purpose of them trying it out I agreed.......well I think the ride picture pretty much sums out what I was like all the way through so I don't think I feel the need to ride it again for several years! Rest of the family weren't really that bothered either which suits me fine!

We decided to head back to the room for a while, we were at Hollywood Studios tonight so managed to snag FP for Star Tours we had a major issue with buses so we ended up missing the window but luckily auntie and uncle had made it in time and just rode it, the wait was only 10mins so we went on " twice! This really is my Aunties favourite ride! We were super hungry so we headed to ABC Commissary, they have a different menu on an evening and they bring the food to you I highly recommend it we loved it we had the steak it and it was gorgeous!

Auntie and uncle decided to head towards the front of the park so they weren't too late back plus they weren't as bothered about the projections of the Star Wars Fireworks, mam found a seat near the restrooms whereas I was front and centre! I videoed the whole thing but mam took some pictures from where she was and they turned out well!

Saturday 6th May

We had a slightly later start me and mam were EPCOT bound to meet up with JMed! As usual our luck with buses (or lack of luck with buses!) continued so we ended up being later than we thought but managed to meet up with Jen in France while waiting for the grey goose slush stand to open we were in line and I picked up and orange and a lemon for me and mam to try " Omg they are delicious but I think I'm a lemon girl!, we walked, talked ate food (lots of food!) in Italy we had meatballs and tiramisu and Jen had Antipasto? I think!

We also stopped at China and Jen tried some strawberries and agreed they are awesome! I also think we had a Kung Fu Punch!

Me and mam hit La Isla Fresca and Jen went to Mexico I think I didn't take many pictures I'm going from memory here!

We decided to part ways as we had plans for Hollywood Studios but not before a selfie! We had a super awesome day and can't wait to do it again!

Auntie and uncle decided not to come to Hollywood Studios so me and mam went alone, we did have FP for Star Tours but we were starving so we decided to skip it and go get food at ABC again we had exactly the same and was just as delicious!

It was a little early to go to fantasmic! Yet so we used our Tower of Terror FP instead as we passed it had 190min wait what on earth?! as we approached the gates it was FP only " strange but we got in no problem after we checked in we were waiting outside and got an email saying Tower of Terror was temporarily unavailable....erm I don't think so I'd seen the carriages going up and down so we aren't sure if it had been down and just came back up but we didn't wait long before riding its awesome!

We decided to just go in and wait our bums might be numb but it was a seat! It's an awesome show didn't take any pictures just enjoyed it I love the show so much!

We got ushered out the side door and managed to see some of the Star Wars fireworks so clear we got on a bus really quick I think but it took 50mins to get back to resort from the construction traffic lights!

We were straight in and bed we were shattered!

Sunday 7th May

We were heading to Magic Kingdom this morning but bad luck with buses continued further and ended up getting the train to Frontierland to meet auntie and uncle for our Splash Mountain FP, was quite funny Auntie couldn't remember the ride so every incline "is this it" it was really funny we tried to wind her up at small dips she wasn't impressed! Luckily we didn't get too wet it was a nice kind of wet against the heat! But we did ride 7 Dwarfs Mine Train to dry off! We had some time to kill before Be Our Guest Under the Sea had 25min wait " actual time 11mins!

We managed to get in 10mins early for our reservation we were starving! The meal was perfect we both had pork and usual cupcakes everything is so amazing always!

We had Pirates FP next wait time was showing 30mins but I'd say more 40-45mins wait but we got through pretty quick but while on the ride through the ship scene where the "bombs" are going off one went off right beside us and soaked us I got more wet from that than I did on splash mountain!

We made a FP for Haunted Mansion it was crazy busy and by the time we walked up and checked in for Haunted Mansion FP all FP for even It's a Small World had gone that's how busy it was! Haunted Mansion was awesome! We split up from auntie and uncle we headed to the exit but got stopped by the Main Street Philharmonic but I was glad we saw them I love them!

We were going to EPCOT and just planning on meeting auntie and uncle there however they were at the bus stop when we got there! We decided to explore the booths separately and agreed to meet at France I stopped at China for Strawberries of course our next stop was the smokehouse we had the ribs, beef burnt ends, pork slider and chocolate cake, they were all nice but we remembered them being way nicer last year we were a bit underwhelmed but it was still nice!

We had a lovely quiet spot and although it wasn't the best view in the world it was perfect seeing it through the trees it was magical! We took a slow walk down to the exit and made our way back for the evening

*Expedition Everest at night is pretty much the best thing ever

*What a magical view for Illuminations!!! stars

*I literally would have pissed my pants if one of those big birds came anywhere near me let alone ate food off my plate

*The Dinosaur picture cracked me up! laugh

*Lemon Grey Goose slush is the obvious winner for me wink
