Favorite Shady Spot

We've talked recently about our favorite spots to relax around the 'World. What are your favorite places to grab some shade on a hot day, and to catch up on your people-watching?

It's not strictly "shade" per se, but I could spend long blocks of time in the Mexico pavilion at Epcot. So nice and cool in there!

I love the small seating area right next to the Rose and Crown in Epcot. It's pretty packed when it comes down to Illuminations time but I love it during the day. It's a nice spot to take a break.

I like to duck into the Morocco pavilion and chill out when it gets too hot. There is a lot of shady area in there. Not crowded either which makes it quiet and relaxing too.

I love to walk around the Mexico Pavillion, love the cool air and the smells from the restaurant. At MK we love to get on the People Mover, catch a breeze and relax!

Good point! No one ever seems to hide back there in those little alley ways..the same with the French Pavillion and the Japanese Garden. I love those hidden treasures.

This is unrelated but on my Segway tour around Morocco they told us that the Moroccan government sent people over from their country to make that building and all the tile mosaics have imperfections because they do not believe people can achieve perfection only God.

I thought that was really interesting.

Yeah one of the CMs in the pavilion was telling me about that. The attention to detail amazes me at WDW.

Another one of my favorite shady spots is right by Sleepy Hollow (funnel cakes...mmm) in Liberty Square. All the trees give it nice shade. Plus it's a beautiful view of the castle from there.

it was the Royal Architect that was sent over to make sure everything was done properly.
