Fireworks

We will be visiting again this fall, during a very transitional time. We arrive Oct. 30 when Halloween decorations will still be everywhere and we'll be there long enough that we will experience the magical appearance of Christmas decorations. I don't think I can talk DH into either of the parties this year, but I'd love to see the different fireworks shows even if it's from the Polynesian beach.

Does anyone know what time the MNSSHP and MVMCP fireworks usually start? Is it just 1 show each night?

Any tips or advice on how to best experience the shows from the Poly beach? How early should we arrive? Is there seating on the beach, do we move chairs, or sit in the sand? We have 6:30-ish dinner reservations at the Poly 3-4 times and I think we'll be able to catch the 3 different fireworks shows from there.

Does anyone know if we can see the MK fireworks from the Wilderness Lodge outdoor areas?
I guess I should confess that I really like fireworks! Thanks!

Hi Mickey, the fireworks are either at 9 or 9:30 and yes they are just once per night. You can see them from the Poly beach. If you want a beach chair you will have to get there early, other wise you will be sitting in the sand. You should be fine with your 6:30 dinner reservations. Can't help you with the Wilderness Lodge question.

Hi Mickey! The beach area at Wilderness Lodge is on the far Bay Lake side, so it's not a great view of the fireworks. There might be a couple of rooms that have partial views, and you can see them a little bit at the bus station, but it's not enough to recommend it as a viewing location. Being on one of the WL boats during the fireworks is a lot of fun though.

You shouldn't need to arrive the the beach too early at that time of year to watch the show, but give yourself enough time to move some chairs if you don't want to sit in the sand. I'd say 30 minutes or so, but I could be wrong.

If you'd like to see the fireworks from other places besides the Polynesian, I suggest the Grand Floridian Marina area, and the California Grill at the Contemporary once it reopens.

Thanks! We will try both the Polynesian Beach and the Grand Floridian Marina. We'll have opportunities for both timed around our dinner plans. From what I understand the MNSSHP and MVMCP have different fireworks and we probably are not going to either party this year. Last year we ate at the California Grill and loved the outdoor terrace all to ourselves. During dinner there we watched a fireworks show off in the distance and were told it was Epcot, then went outside for Wishes and saw the electric water show. I love watching Wishes with the castle in the foreground and we'll do that again (and again). Also watched it from Frontierland, but it wasn't the same.

These photos are from CG terrace.
