First Timers at Disneyland!

Back in February I found out the DQ Expo for 2018 was being held in Anaheim in January! Well, we FINALLY just got the info package today yay The Expo will be at the Anaheim Convention Centre but room packages are at the Disneyland resorts! So we are finally going to DISNEYLAND banana banana banana I am beyond excited about this! However, I have no idea where to begin with my planning laugh So I need some help from some Disneyland veterans!

What resort do you prefer? Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel or Grand Californian?

Disneyland resort shuttle or super shuttle?

We may be arriving December 30 which means we'll be there for New Years Eve! How crazy is it at the parks? I've been to WDW new years eve one year. We had to arrive at park opening and couldn't leave laugh Is Disneyland the same? I have no problem with that, I just want to be prepared!

Any other tips or recommendations?

YEEEESSSS!!!!!! yay muchlove yeah banana

My preference is Grand Californian, but Disneyland Hotel is also really awesome. DL Hotel is brighter and cheerier, GC is cozier. I am nota fan of Paradise Pier, especially with the new traffic cop that blocks you from walking across the street from PP to go to GC. Awesome if you're staying at GC, annoying if you're staying at PP.

I prefer SuperShuttle for adult parties because the cost is lower per person, the airport pick-up is faster, and you have a wider range of available pick-up/drop-off times. Also, you get text updates and can watch your shuttle arrive on the map. If traveling with kids, it's beneficial to do Disneyland Express because kids ride free, making the total for the party less expensive.

I'm not sure, but I would expect that DL is fairly crowded on NYE. Although, I don't think that the party atmosphere is as big of a deal on the west coast as it is on the east coast. Also, I'd be willing to bet that most AP holders have blackout dates for the holiday, so that should help. Over Memorial Day weekend, it wasn't bad at all at DL. The weekend BEFORE was nuts and DL actually hit capacity because it was the last weekend before the AP blackouts started.

Thanks!

We are leaning more towards Disneyland Hotel. But the balcony at Grand Californian would be nice. No kids so I'll look into super shuttle awesome
