Food and Wine Challenge..

Now I'm a huge foodie person..My favourite hobbie is cooking and I'm never far away from my kitchen trying new recipes..So last year at the F&W festival I was in seventh heaven..However there was one thing that my wife challenged me to eat, but I just couldn't, and that was Escargot ... yuck ...I'm sorry but I had to draw the line on that dish..So here's my challenge to you lucky people who are going this year during the festival..Try the haggis from Scotland as I've read it's not the vegetarian version this year..

I will try this Scottish dish; Haggis, and btw, you should try escargot, it's very good awesome

You only live once and I am sure you won't regret it, it's got lots of garlic Big smile

I've had both (not necessarily at F&W). Good escargot is fantastic; bad escargot tastes like rubber bands. Haggis, I can take or leave. (The Spouse actually rates restaurants based on how good their escargot is.)

Just remember: offal can be wonderful... Tongue

Aarrgghhh..... gaah Sorry, but no way Escargot...I'll never forget trying a Greek dish on a small Greek island years ago..I dipped fresh bread into this stuff which turned out to be sea urchin eggs..That night I swore an alien was about to burst out of my stomach...I still have nightmares...

I first tasted escargot at a New Orleans restaurant (along with raw oysters), both were fantastic! I've also had it onboard the Disney Magic/Wonder, both ships did it well.

Watchmaker, are you going to lay down a food challenge, and not expect a counter challenge Cool . Or are you still afraid of that alien bursting out of your stomach? Sick

What would William Wallace say? waiting

awesome
