So if any of you have gone with friends and family, do you usually nominate one "arranger" who takes care of all the ADRs, rooms etc, or does everyone make their own? I imagine that most people have one nominee, but that seems like a thankless job to me.
Friends and Family, One Arranger?
We've only gone with a few small groups, but there's usually one person making ADRs. I don't find it thankless, then again, I'm a type A control-freak...
I think it makes it easier if there is one person. I have a group going in Oct 4 rooms at the GF. I spoke with each family and now I deal with one of them.
We just talked about the dining and priorities for there itinerary. We made an outline and everytime I send out something important they each get a copy.

Always gotta have a captain, I think Shelley had a quote about that.
I'm not allowed to touch the arrangements. I just show up and do what I'm told.

I remember that and I think it makes a lot of sense. A great method, I think, is to have one person gather the major wants and needs of the whole group, then create an itinerary that incorporates as many as possible.

I've been making plans for so long, its just automatic that I make the arrangements, and something just wouldn't FEEL right if I wasn't.

Yep just one person should do the planning. You can take suggestions/ideas of what others want to do then figure out what is best for your group/time frame.
Glad to know my quote lives on!
Let's remember it all started with a mouse

Preferably someone who can also keep everyone else in line when they start becoming a pain.
We are a group of 11 going in September and I am in charge
As a TA, I am used to dealing with groups and big families~ there is usually 1 go to person and we work together on planning their trip.

A group of 11 should be awesome! Do you have any new plans or events you're going to try out?

And are you going to purchase any disciplinary devices to keep everyone in line?

Tazers might work best in this situation...easier to transport and less "hot" should you accidently bump someone with them.
