A welcome letter can never compare to the greeting you get from the registration desk yay Then it's really Mickey time. Have a great trip.

That's what I thought too, til I stayed there. We checked in & they took us to our room that overlooked the Swan, part of the Boardwalk & MGM - with Tower of Terror right there. We walked in & out of Epcot to our hearts content (my favorite Park) We slept in the most wonderful hotel beds I have ever slept in. We went to the Grotto which is an amazing pool complex - I think it's second to Stormalong Bay. I get an amazing deluxe room for the price of a moderate. I was hooked.

I stay there all the time, so it's very Disney to me. When our car pulls up to the Swolphin, I feel like I've come home. I like the themeing. It's very modern, light & airy. I like some of the extra perks I get there that I don't get in the Disney owned resorts. The only perk I miss, is not being able to charge back to my room key in the Parks & Disney owned properties.

I've become so spoiled, that really the only Disney owned resort I'd ever stay at instead would be AKL & that solely for the Savannah view of the animals. I like the location, beds, amenities & service better at the Swolphin.

I'm glad I've stayed at alot of the Disney Owned properties. But, I guess I've found my home away from home at the Swolphin. Who knew?

Ah yes! I have definitely heard about the beds!! You know, Leota, you're definitely selling my on these resorts. The cheap price and amazing location seem almost too good to be true. And if I'm skeptical about not staying in a Disney hotel, I could always try it out with a split stay... mickey

No, we take a towncar. I'd have to do that even if Magical Express served the Swolphin. I need that grocery stop for water & stuff. One thing my body just has never gotten used to in FL is the water. yuck It does nasty things to my tummy. sad

No kidding. We usually go through a six-pack of water per day!

How do you maintain the willpower to stop on the way in? We always get checked in and then run out to get stuff later. We're too excited to stop on the way!

Both of you have very good points. I highly suggest using a grocery delivery service! laugh

To be honest, a lot of the time we wind up buying over priced water from the resort store because we don't want to leave. But I still think it would be hard to stop on the way in!
