Have Annual Passes/Tickets always been Indestructible?

So I left my annual pass behind one night and had to get a new one. I wanted to destroy the old one so I didn't get confused, and apparently they're impossible to destroy. Have they always been this way?

Ours have always been paper. I often wondered why they were not like our room keys. But, I have never tried to rip one or destroy it. Maybe they are much better made than I thought they were.

Going back many years to when I got my first AP they have been indestructible, flimsy but indestructible. At first I thought the creditcard type passes would be sturdier but I soon found out that was not the case.

I'm with ya. Ours had always been paper. Never tried to destroy them though

Really? Huh. I have a few old ones lying around - I hate to get rid of them! - and I'll have to try. Like Vettlover I always kind of wished they were like credit cards. I had no idea they were so sturdy!
