Hi Everyone!

Hi! I guess I'm not exactly new because I posted a few weeks ago, but I've been doing more reading (at work) then posting. I'm glad I found this website because you DON'T have to be a kid to love Disney! I'm heading to Disney World in May with my sisters and mother and CANNOT wait!! We're staying at the Port Orleans - French Quarter, so any tips or hints or must do's for the POFQ are MOST appreciated!! So far I've got a huge list of things to do and things to eat, so I'm counting the days until I return to the "Happiest Place on Earth." I've been to Disney World multiple times, Disneyland twice, and Disneyland Paris once.

I love reading all of your tips and experiences. One question for you all...has anyone ever gone from Disney World to the Florida Mall? My sister is a huge M&M fan and wants to visit the store in the mall. We weren't planning to rent a car, so not sure if there's another way to get to the mall.

I think Tony has mentioned some options before on getting to the Mall. It doesn't sound simple though. I'll see if I can figure out where he mentioned them.

I stayed at pofq on my last stay and went to the Florida mall

we took the city bus (from the stop in DTD)....it was fine. Obviously the city bus takes a bit of time but it was easy, it was a direct bus with no transfers.

Hi, welcome to WDWFG. I guess from the username you're another fellow brit?

re. getting to the mall. The easiest way from a resort is to just take a taxi, there are usually a couple hanging around outside every hotel. The alternative is to take the Lynx service bus from either DTD or the TTC which costs a few dollars per person to either Seaworld or I-Drive, then you can use the I-Ride trolley/shuttle service (again a few dollars per person) to get to the malls. Using the busses can take quite a while to get there if they don't link up perfectly. If there are a few of you, the taxi option can actually work out cheaper and will get you there much quicker and with less stress.

Hub... Who is that person you posted? I don't know who that is? But he doesn't seem like a biter though. He seems like a lover. A lover of food. I'd be more worried about the excessive hand size you have. I'd get that checked out man.

LOL. Mase and Mr. Hub, you two are cracking me up....

We're staying for a week (Friday to Friday) unless I decide never to come home and stay forever! Wouldn't that be great? I actually repeatedly applied for jobs with Disney after college graduation, but alas, no luck. Anyway, we have a few ADRs. We have breakfast at O'hana, which we did last year, and had a lot of fun. We also have another character breakfast, but I'm actually not sure which one (we're also meeting some friends down there, and they are in charge of making the ADRs).

One of the things I hope to do this year is to eat more in Epcot (I LOVE to eat!!). Last year we stayed at Shades of Green and we did a lot of dinners there, just to make life easier because we had a HUGE group (I crashed my BFF's family reunion!). This year, with the park hopper pass, I'm thinking we need to plan more dinners at Epcot. Also my sister and I are thinking of doing the "Around the World bar crawl" one night in Epcot. Otherwise, just going with the flow and making it a relaxing vacation. I've seen so many people who come back from their Disney vacation needing another vacation to recover.

We do have a day at Seaworld on the agenda. Also a day at one of the waterparks. What's the consensus? Is Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach a better bet? I haven't been to the waterparks since I was in high school, so my memories are pretty vague by now!
