Hi from Maryland!

Greetings, everyone! I just found this site, and this forum, courtesy of my daily Google Search e-mail! (My "Walt Disney World" search for 5/31 included a link to the "Packing Light" article on the site.)

So, I'm Willie, a 50 year-old woman (the name can confuse people laugh ) who lives in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC. I've been to WDW several times over the years, but it's been *ages* since my last trip--DHS was Disney MGM and hadn't been open for very long--and I've been itching to go again!

I'm planning a solo trip for September 2013. I haven't decided upon the final details yet, but I'm thinking 8 or 9 days, and probably staying at Pop Century. In addition to not visiting WDW in dogs' years, I've never stayed at a Disney property, so I'm really excited about going! In many ways, I'm looking at this as my first trip, since a lot of things will be new to me.

Looking forward to getting to know folks on the forum, and hoping to find lots of information and advice! mickey

Hi Willie and Welcome! I think it's great that you're planning a solo trip; we have a fair number of solo travelers who will likely give you some great advice if you need it!

What a cool name!!

I think taking a solo trip sounds like such a fab idea...and I'm sure you'll love Pop Century! Have you checked out the regular sized (not suite) rooms at the new Art of Animation? They look pretty cool, too. They're right beside Pop Century.
