It's official....our honeymoon in November is booked! I can't wait
Sometimes I think I may be more excited for the trip than the actual wedding hehe. We're looking forward to some new experiences this time around. First, we are staying at Coronado Springs for the first time. We usually stay at one of the Value resorts. We've also signed up for the Wine and Dine Family Fun 5K. This will be our first 5K ever so i'm really looking forward to it. And finally, after 11 visits to Disney World we actually made an ADR! I've always wanted to do a character dining so we are going for lunch at Tusker House. I've read lots of good reviews for it so hopefully it'll be worth it!
Let the countdown begin!
Honeymoon is booked!
Congratulations!!!
I know exactly how you feel! I've been more concerned with planning our honeymoon to WDW, then I have with our wedding
One of our ADRs is at Tusker House, so I'll let you know how it is! (We're going in September btw) How long will you be staying for? Have you chosen your other ADRs yet?
Congrats! Nothing more special knowing you have booked a Disney Vacation. Such a great feeling, and you will love it in November! We will be there at the end of the month.

We'll be staying for a week. I wish it were for longer
Tusker House is the only ADR we're making this trip. Where are your other ADR's?
Congrats on your wedding
Congrats Spook!! You're going to have a fabulous time!Disney 5Ks are so much fun, and Tusker House always looks great to me. Is that the only ADR you'll be making?
Have you done many Disney 5K's? I was there a few years ago and saw the end of the marathon and since then i've wanted to try it. Since i'm not much of a runner, i thought it would be best to see how well a 5K goes
Congratulations on booking your trip.
When is your ADR at Tusker House? We'll be at WDW at the same time. I'm having lunch there on Tuesday.

Thanks! Here is my pre trip report, with my ADRs. Probably needs a bit of an update, but I'll do that later.

I have done 2 Disney 5Ks and they were fantastic! Disney says that you have to maintain a 16 minute mile to do it's 5Ks, but I think that's largely so that you have time to stop and get your picture taken with characters.
The first mile of both was kind of boring, but after that there's a lot of entertainment and stuff to help pass the time. The 5Ks are super friendly, if you can at least walk 3 miles an hour you've got it.
But honestly, you don't even have to do that. During my last 5K I was in more of a "coach" position because I slowed way down to stay with a friend. At one point we were the absolute last people in the race. So the golf cart came by and drove us up a good half mile and left us off to walk again. They're very very very friendly in the 5K and you honestly don't have to worry. I think she finished in about an hour twenty.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what kind of entertainment they have on the course.

In the two that I've done, there's been a DJ at the starting line, a fireworks start, some music along the course, cast members cheering along the course, a variety of characters along the way to get your picture taken with, and a DJ at the finish line.
