How do you use your credits wisely..?...

Good morning folks...Now that I've made my 2016 booking and getting free dining ( 1 C/S and 1 T/S ) for our entire stay ( That's 42 counter and 42 table meals between the 3 of us ) ...I'm thinking of paying a few meals at night out of pocket which will give me a chance to book a few signature restaurants...Like Via Napoli as we usually split the mezzo metro pizza between the three of us..For those of you who have had this free dining plan, how do you plan it out..?....Do you save some T/S credits for those awesome signature experiences..

Your snack credits can be used at F&W kiosks at EPCOT! Have you been to F&W Festival?

I find that it's best to pay for breakfasts with cash and save the credits for the evening meals. My family of 5 can usually eat a counter service breakfast for $50 or less, we can't really eat that cheaply on cash for any other meal. Even several table service meals will be less expensive if you have a breakfast seating vs dinner. We also try to do at least one meal by using snack credits, or use them at food & wine festival to snack around the world.

These days I spend a considerable amount of time when planning on trip on which day and which meal is the best to eat where and at what time.

We usually use the snack credits on food and wine Wink

I would work out what meals you want, look at their menus and work out which will be the cheaper and pay for those moments or on the days you don't fancy a dessert

Well I've designed my matrix for our 14 day free DDP..We arrive at MCO approx 14.30 so after unpacking at our resort, we will just use a C/S credit that night which will free up an extra 3 T/S credit for our first meal at Jiko..Then pay out of pocket at VN which will free up another 3 T/S credits for Yachtsmen Steakhouse ...In the second week we will pay out of pocket for two more nights which again will free up credits for Narcoossee's and another night at Jiko ( My sons favourite and his 18th birthday in October ) ...Does this idea sound like a good one...We love fine dining at home but don't have too many choices of fine restaurants..What are your thoughts on this plan.?...

Sounds like a great plan, Watchmaker. I agree with Kristen. Pay out of pocket for breakfast. It's usually more economical. If you do a late breakfast, you can use snack credits to nibble throughout the day and then use a CS for dinner in one of the parks, thereby saving a TS for another day.

Awesome...Yeh, we are not big breakfast people..In our dining experience at Disney, the resort signatures are fantastic..
