How many days?

How many days does it take to do US and IofA, I am not interested in every ride but I am trying to figure out for 1 or 2 days, I see in September they close rather early so I am not sure what to do.

I would think two days just to be safe..especially if you're interested in Harry Potter. The lines just to get in that place are out of control.

We did both in 1 day but we didn't really see everything and I'm sure there were some things we missed that we actually would have liked. I agree with Bella that 2 is the safe bet. You'll have a better feel with the extra time. Or you could just talk to Tony, he knows everything about Universal. awesome

You called.... laugh

I love Universal and Islands of Adventure almost as much as I love Disney. If you want to do more than 2 or 3 rides/shows in each park then they really need at least a day each. If you are at the gate 10 minutes before the official opening time they usually let you into a holding area just inside early. From here you can get to the top rides quickly and get them done before the parks get busy. We managed to do 3 rides in an hour once, but that was at a quiet time of year.

we are looking at the first 2 weeks of september next year and were kind of hoping it might be quiet.

I'm agreeing with the 2 days suggestion. We had the same experience as Brad when trying to do both in one day. We got through SOME rides, but not nearly all of them -- we missed some big ticket items, too.

Plus, it kind of stinks to get soaking wet on the water rides and have to trudge to another park! =D

Tony, I don't know if your experience agrees, but I found that people just don't seem to get to Universal or IofA very early. So the two days gives you two mornings to get a lot of stuff in before everyone gets there, like you said.

JustCar, I bet in September the crowds won't be bad in general.

Let us just say the rope drop at Universal is nothing like rope drop at the magic Kingdom. laugh

However, I've always been a quiet times of the year, I'm sure that during the busier times there will be plenty of people there from the start.

That's usually a relatively quiet time because everyone is headed back to school and summer vacations are winding down. You've been in early Sept. before, right?

I think once the kids go back to school you're much better off, so I think Sept should be nice like Oct.
