Anyone else going to this tomorrow? If you are on Disney Movie Rewards, you get bonus points if you redeem the movie tickets to this special event.

I work every night this week except Friday, so I'll be waiting for the official release. Can't wait for this movie though!! I've had it on my calendar ever since it was first announced! yay

I wanted to go, but I got sticker shock at the $22 each for tickets. That would be a $100 night for the family. Alas we will be waiting for a matinee showing next week sometime. sad

OK, we just got home and I can report on a bit more of the event.

When we picked up the tickets, they gave us a nice poster each, and a lanyard. The back of the card that came with the lanyard has the Disney Movie Rewards code to get our bonus 50 points in addition to the points we get for the tickets.

The presentation started with a behind-the-scene look at the Pixar campus, more specifically, inside the Steve Jobs building. We saw quite a bit of what is inside the building, met a bunch of people, saw some of the work being done on several upcoming Pixar movies, even met John Lasseter, who would not let us into a room that Toy Story 4 is being worked on. He was, however, wearing the Inside/Out Hawaiian shirt! This was a very entertaining and informative look inside of Pixar.

Then the movie started. AMAZING! I'm not going to say much since almost everyone hasn't seen it yet. And no, I missed finding the Pizza Planet truck again, so I definitely have to see it again. Personally, I prefer UP better than Inside/Out, but it is definitely better than Monsters University and Cars 2, Cars, etc... The extra footage here is during the credits, there's nothing after the credits.

After the movie ended, we had a live interview with Pete Doctor and Amy Poehler. That went on for about half an hour, and it was quite entertaining. They took on questions submitted by the audience via Twitter.

It was a fun evening, our first Fathom event. If they do something like this again, I'll probably go again.

Here are pictures of the posters and the lanyards that we each received.

I forgot to mention that the animated shorts that was shown before the movie was titled "Lava". It will melt your heart! I lava it!

To everyone who couldn't make this event but has a Disney Visa Rewards card, you should have gotten an email with a voucher for 2 free adult and 2 free kid kids (up to $44) that can be used until July 31.

I got an email. I didn't keep the original email, but I looked at the email they sent with the voucher and I noticed that it referenced premier Visa card.

That's probably exactly why I didn't get one. We have the Rewards Visa, not the Premier Visa. Bummer.

Hubby and I have a date night tonight and are potentially planning on going to see it. I had LASIK done on Wednesday so we'll have to see how my eyes are holding up by the end of the night crossfingers

We have the Premiere Visa but we didn't get an email voucher. You must have better luck than we do wink

We've got Premier also and I don't see an email. Bummer. Does anyone who got an email remember approximately when it arrived? I intend to go again and it would be super to go for free! biggrin

Zapper, it sounds like it was amazing. I've seen pictures of Pixar, but would love, love to visit let alone get a tour and meet John L. Awesome, awesome, awesome.

Thanks for sharing..
