Interactive Games at the Parks

KimPossible is about to fade away, but I'm hearing really fun things about the Sorceror's game at MK, and we can't WAIT to play the Agent P game coming to Epcot.

Sometimes I shy away from these attractions because I'm afraid they'll take away from the park experience. What are your tips for enjoying the game and doing the park at the same time? Have you played any of the interactive games?

Check out the video in the link. It really looks like it will be hilarious!

I have never played any of these and they are not calling my name too loudly Smile so I don't think I will be partaking any time soon.

Evan has wanted to do the Kim Possible game the past couple of years we have been there but we have never taken the time to stop and do it because we felt there was to many other things to do. Now that it's changed over to Agent P and the Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom I think we are going to try and make a real effort to do them this year

I've done all of the countries in Kim Possible and I loved it! It was so much fun! and there's tons of secret stuff you would've never seen if not for doing it.

I've done all the Kim Possible missions as well, some two or three times. I thought they were great. It takes you to places you might otherwise miss. I LOVE Phineas & Ferb, so the agent P missions are definetly in my plans as well as SMK.

I love these games and so do my kids. I think that they add adventure to the parks, however if you're a ride person, then yes, they "take away". However my family is really happy going on a guided adventure through the parks vs. standing in lines for rides. It's another facet to be explored so that park time doesn't always have to be the same. I really wouldn't suggest that newbies try and do these games, I feel like that would take away a lot. However, for experienced Disney Parks fans I think it keeps this fresh and exciting muchlove

I played the Kim Possible game once to see what it was about, and it is cute, but I don't know if I'd personally play again. I think it might be fun if I played with a group of people, and if I had kids with me I would make a point of playing. I do enjoy watching the families around WS playing and setting off the things. I think the only reason I didn't like playing it alone is because it's one of those things I think would be funner to have someone to share it with.

The Sorcerer's Game I'll give a try, but from what I've seen on YouTube I don't think it'll hold my interest very long, but I've been wrong about things I'd enjoy before. The cards do look pretty though, I'll probably end up picking some up just to have, especially since they're free, and there's just not a lot of free at Disney!

We'replaying the Sorcerer game now, and here's our perspective so far.

1. It's fun!
2. It definitely will take time from the park attractions. They tell you the whole game takes 4-5 hours to play to the end.
3. You spend alot of time going between the lands finding the portals. You and all the other Sorcerers playing that day, so you usually have to wait in line for your turn.
4. You get 5 cards to start with, and can pick up a new set of cards each day. I wish I had realized that earlier in our visit, because we could have made it apoint to stop by MK every day to try and get as many of the cards as possible (there are 70 total)

Since we're here for 10 days, we'll have plenty of time to try and play the whole game over a few days. And many of the portals are very funny.

I think they did a great job with this one Smile

JeffC - So glad to hear that you're enjoying the game! How have the queues been at the portals? Have you done any card trading?

I have to wonder if more people will get park-hoppers added to their tickets so that they can go get more cards every day. We don't usually hop, but this might make the kids want to more.

Hi Kristen! Yes, we are having fun with it!

Most of the portal have been pretty light - 1-2 people, and some had none when we got there. Only a few had more than 2 people in line.

My jaw dropped the first itme I saw a young lady with a binder full of her cards! I felt so...inadequate!! Haha.

We're heading back over to MK shortly just so we can get the next set of cards. And plan to do that every day until we leave so we can get as many of the set as possible. They are pretty cool!

Mase - you do get to keep them all. It's fun just getting the cards even if you don't play the actual game.

I've got two blog pieces scheduled for the blog over the next few weeks about building your deck and card trading. If you hear tell of any rumors or changes while you're there please let me know!

Can you take a picture of one of the cards?

Each personw ith a valid park ticket can get a new set of 5 cards every day. So you, your parents and your kids can all get a set every day. You don't have to each actually use any of them or do anything i the game to get the new set every day.

Right now Joe and I are both getting new sets every day. So far, we have a few repeats between our sets, but more unique ones than duplicates. Joe's not actually playing the game with his sets.
