It's a tradition! We don't ride it every trip, but I wouldn't want to avoid it for too long. Plus sooner or later you'll probably want to sit down and it won't have a line.

We ride it every trip..but it's not something we'd stand in line forever for or cry if we missed it.

And usually we only ride it once.

Without the history behind it, it would probably be classified as annoying. The wonder of it now (as an adult at least) is knowing that Walt actually created it and it's more or less the same as it was back then.

Still, I've complained about this before, but I WISH they would do something with the ceiling of that ride! The white tile nothingness is SO distracting to me!

Very good point. If this was released as a new attraction right now I don't think we'd be fighting to get on. It's the history that makes it so compelling. That said I hope they don't change it (Even if I don't ride it every trip).

The only problem with IASW is when there's a stoppage. My internal earworm defenses can only handle one ride's worth of that song. If you have to sit for a little bit I think I could be in serious danger of losing my mind.

O.o

We should totally use that song for Psy Ops.

I hear the one in Disneyland is more interesting.

The Disneyland version was definitely more interesting, but that may have been because it was new. It's also much more of a big deal. They have a whole area devoted to it. I was actually pretty excited to ride it. Overall it wasn't that much more re-ridable, but I would say it's superior to the WDW version. Even though they added a bunch of new Disney characters for marketing purposes. yuck

That's cool. I'd like to see the updated DL version. Maybe the "original" with some polish would make me feel devoted to this ride mickey

at DLR it isnt so much about the ride (yes I am a purist and HAVE to ride this every time we go to DLR...at WDW its just another ride in Fantasyland to me) but about the clock outside...check out this youtube video!

Agreed. The ways it's just kind of "stuck" in WDW is definitely less inspiring than the great big area it commands in DL.

The way they do it at WDW makes it feel like they just threw it in because they had to have it. I can't say if the interior is that much better at DL, but I definitely felt like it was more of an experience.

Haven't been there in ages, but I do remember the little "small world land" that's all by its lonesome!

I think the title of this question is flawed. I believe IASW is in fact BOTH awesome and annoying!
