Great report!
You both are such cuties.

I love, love, LOVE your hair. So adorable. I wish I could do a pixie cut. Unfortunately, my face is just not suited to it.

Day 4:
I woke up on Day 4 feeling even worse than the previous day. We had reservations at Cape May Cafe and I wasn't sure if we would make them! I sent an S.O.S. to my grandparents asking them to take me to a chemist for some cold remedies. We were a little late getting out of our room because I felt so ill, and by the time we had walked all the way through Epcot to the Beach Club (we got confused and ended up being redirected from the Yacht Club - signposts would have been helpful!) we were a few minutes late for our ADR. Fortunately they didn't seem to mind, and we got seated quickly. We were so pleased we had made it because it was an amazing breakfast!

I'd mentioned on the ADR that it was our honeymoon, so they made us feel very special!

We got this adorable cake. Even when we were all full from breakfast, we ate as much of the cake we could to try and show we appreciated it!

Goofy came around, but we didn't manage to get photos. We got some with Donald though!

Mmm... decapitated Mickey head.

I wish I'd been feeling less ill for meeting Minnie, but thankfully I got another chance to meet her later in the holiday.

She LOVED Bob.

We left a nice tip and then wandered back to Future World, full of breakfast, snapping some photos along the way.

I perked up immediately when I saw the Figment ride. I've always loved Figment and this was my favourite Epcot attraction as a child, so we went straight on!

Slightly dodgy shot of Figment.
I loved this ride! It was definitely still one of my favourites, and Bob liked it too, even though he had never heard of Figment before. After we got off, I played around on the Make Your Own Figment machine. I made a green lady Figment called Pixie, and emailed it to myself, but she never showed up in my inbox, sadly. EDIT: My Figment turned up today! Here she is!

I should mention at this point that I had Bob taking notes on his phone for the entire trip so that I could remember the order we had done things in for my trip report. He was very patient about it, even when I said for the hundredth time, 'Can you take a picture of this for my trip report?' His note for this ride says 'Lauren and Figment 4eva', which makes me giggle. I kinda wish I'd got some Figment merch from the store but I wasn't in the mood to buy anything because I was feeling so rubbish!

Obligatory Epcot fountain shot.

After Figment, we went on Living with the Land. It was nice and relaxing for poor ill me, a chance to sit down and chill on a nice boat ride for a while. I thought it was very good and informative - much better than I'd expected.

Bob wanted to watch Circle of Life even though I'd heard it wasn't worthwhile. To be honest, I mainly appreciated the chance to sit in an air-conditioned room for a while and I kinda tuned out because I was so tired and ill. It was a bit hilariously preachy, we thought, but at least I got to sit down and relax!

When we'd had enough of the environmental stuff, it was Nemo time!

We went on the Nemo ride. We took some pictures but they came out too dark. It was very cute. I love rides where you get to be in a shell. I don't know why this is. I'm a bit odd. We unfortunately didn't manage to catch the musical at Animal Kingdom on this trip but will make a point of seeing it next time.

Everyone was getting their photo taken in Bruce's mouth, and Bob felt that this guy wasn't getting enough love, so we took a photo with him instead.

We saw some cute fishes.

We loved this guy! He was so cute!

After Nemo, it was Spaceship Earth time! I was feeling utterly MISERABLE at this point and had no enthusiasm for anything. Spaceship Earth broke down when we were near the top and I got irritated by it, even though we only stopped for a few minutes. I have to say though, from a retrospective point of view, Spaceship Earth remains completely spectacular. I don't think I appreciated it in its full glory as a child. I love the interactive features on the ride.

This was the photo we got at the end. Bob answered all the questions, so of course we ended up in space, even though I would BLATANTLY have chosen Under the Sea, had I been given the option. My facial expression in this photo expresses how miserable I was feeling. There was no way I was smiling at this point.

I started to perk up a little after Spaceship Earth and suggested having a look around Innoventions. We got talked into going in to see Stormstruck. I found it interesting - I think Bob was less interested. I got all but one of the answers correct - THIS WAS THE ONLY THING I BEAT BOB AT FOR THE WHOLE TRIP, but as I beat him with knowledge, I think I have the moral highground. Totally. Honest.

So, after Innoventions, it was time for Ellen's Energy Adventure. We were stoked for this because we love Ellen. Couldn't believe it was 45 minutes long though! I thought it would drag in, but the time went really quickly for me. Probably because I was blowing my nose the whole time and kinda zoned out. I don't think I appreciated this enough because I was too ill to take it all in. I liked the dinosaurs. This is my only input at this stage. Bob thought it was cheesy but fun. I think I would like to try this ride again when I am not ill, so that I can actually pay attention!

After Ellen, we went and got a Coke Slushie each. The area where they were served was great because it constantly sprayed you with cooling mist. There was a really obnoxious family with obnoxious children being obnoxious at the booth but Bob didn't notice because he was a lot less irritable than me that day. We didn't get a lot of good photos on this day because I was so ill, unfortunately.

Just as we were considering leaving the park for the day (we had decided to leave World Showcase until later in the trip when I was feeling better), a random lady offered us two fastpasses for Soarin'. As there had been a 50 minute wait for it all day, I leapt at the chance to experience it and accepted the fastpasses. I wasn't sure what I would think of this ride as I'm not great with heights and wasn't sure what to expect, but we were very impressed and glad we got on it, and I wasn't scared, thankfully. This was Bob's favourite attraction of the day - he was talking about it for ages afterwards! After Soarin', we decided that I was too tired to manage anything else that day and we headed back to the resort to relax.

We chilled by the pool and had a little swim, then got changed and went to meet my grandparents. When we met my grandparents, they had already bought me flu capsules and tissues, because they're utter legends! I took the flu capsules and within almost no time started to feel better, although I was losing my voice completely by this point. We went for another off-property buffet, and then they took us for a walk round Old Town. I know it's not Disney related, but we got some nice photos so I thought I'd share them anyway.

Bob was really entertained by Elvis the fortune teller and felt compelled to instagram him.

My grandparents and I. There was a classic car show going on, which was nice. I love vintage cars.

Bob and I in Old Town.

Erm...random wonky Johnny Depp... I don't know why...

I bought a piece of amethyst for $2. I have a shelf at home that just has Buddhas, candles, and plants on it - I call it my zen shelf - since coming home my amethyst has been added to this shelf. I love Old Town. When I was a child, this was my favourite place to go in Orlando (bar Disney, obviously) because I've always been really into Americana and 50s rock 'n' roll. I used to collect Betty Boop memorabilia and would always buy something in Old Town. (Stay tuned to this trip report for an epic Betty Boop moment later on!)

Old Town looks beautiful at night. My grandparents grumbled about the fact that a lot of the shops have shut down and been replaced by bars and restaurants, but I loved seeing the street come alive with old rockers at night. I would love to come back here for a night of bar-hopping! I think we will need to investigate how to get here from Disneyworld without a car for later trips.

All in all, this was a good day, despite how ill I was. I started to feel much better the following day so this was as bad as it got, really.

Lauren's Favourite Attraction/Moment: Journey into Imagination with Figment.
Bob's Favourite Attraction/Moment: Soarin'.
What I Learned That Day: Futureworld is good for nice quiet air-conditioned rides when you're not feeling well. Also, ALWAYS BRING FLU CAPSULES TO DISNEY IF YOU DON'T HAVE A CAR. Thank goodness my grandparents were in Orlando, as I don't think I'd have got better so quickly otherwise.

So sorry to hear you had a bad Ariel experience! Little Mermaid is my favorite movie so I would have been crushed! The one we had when we were there for one of the New Fantasyland previews was spectacular! Great trip report this far!

Thanks - yeah, the Ariel you saw sounded great from your report! We vastly preferred the Ariel in the Voyage of the Little Mermaid show at DHS - she seemed to just have the whole Ariel character down. This experience was pretty disappointing and put me off wanting to meet other princesses as I was worried I'd be disappointed by them all. Fortunately I worked the confidence back up and had much better experiences later in the trip, which I shall post about. We met a whole bunch of princesses, but next time we are going on an official Princess meeting mission, attempting to meet ALL the princesses, and I'm going to buy an autograph book especially for it. haha I've now made a countdown even though we're probably not going for another two years!

Day 5 (Day-time):
We did a lot on this day so I'm dividing it up into day-time and night-time.
I woke up on Day 5 feeling 100 times better than the day before. The cold meds had obviously done their work and I was buzzing with excitement as I knew we were going to be doing my favourite activity of all time: SHOPPING! We got up and decided to skip breakfast entirely and got a bus to Downtown Disney. We waited a while for a bus, and the ride took longer than the other buses as it went via Blizzard Beach, but we still got there at a reasonable time in the morning and immediately commenced taking ALL THE PHOTOS.

Paused outside the Christmas shop for a shot with Tweedledee and Tweedledum, then went into the Christmas shop. It was more beautiful than I remembered. I love Christmas, and wanted to buy almost everything in the shop. My favourites were the Disney Princess decorations with the big fabric dresses.

Bob paused for a shot with the Hundred Acre Wood gang. He really looks part of the scenery here in his yellow t-shirt!
We went around all the shops and took photos of amusing things.

This made me laugh hard. I really wanted a bottle of it. I've demanded we have a bottle next trip!

I had to pose with Aurora as we were both in pink that day.
World of Disney was AMAZING. We spent ages just looking around and trying to decide what to buy. Finally, I settled on purple and green Halloween Minnie Mouse ears, and Bob got a t-shirt with Darth Vader at Disneyworld on it, with the plan being that we would wear them out to the Magic Kingdom that night.

Wookie Lauren.

Downtown Disney selfie!

Loch Ness Monster!

Bob REALLY loved the Lego shop.

We got as far as this before we got too hungry, and decided to go back to Earl of Sandwich for lunch.

Earl of Sandwich was very busy. We queued for a while, then got a tuna melt to share, a smoothie each and some mini brownies. The sandwich was good but I preferred the ones at Columbia Harbour House.

We moved on and snapped a quick Planet Hollywood selfie.

We'd considered doing Characters in Flight, but an oncoming storm had grounded it for the day. To be honest, this was probably for the best as I think I'd have had a panic attack on that thing, and panic attacks are so the opposite of romantic.

I enjoyed this Wicked Witch sign.

Lastly, I picked up the Disney Princess starter pin kit. Little did I know that pin collecting would CONSUME MY ENTIRE SOUL.
We got a bus back to the resort and changed to go out for dinner in the Magic Kingdom. Coming up - Day 5 Night-time!

Day 5 (Night-time):
We got all dolled up and caught the bus to the Magic Kingdom. The bus took aaaaages to come, but fortunately we'd left in plenty of time for our ADR at Tony's.

When we got to MK, we checked in at Tony's nice and early for our ADR.

We got a table in a fantastic location on the conservatory. The atmosphere was lovely. It was so nice to have dinner looking out onto Main Street!

I know I've mentioned this before, but I really love Lady and the Tramp. I think it's my favourite of the classics.

Bob in sequinned mouse ears and Darth Vader shirt. We got the calamari to start. It was HUGE but we managed to eat the whole thing in minutes! By the time we thought about taking a picture, it was in our bellies.

I had the mushroom ravioli. It was very tasty but filling!

Bob had the cannelloni. He said it was okay but a little dry.

After paying up, we headed out onto Main Street to scope out a spot for the Electrical Parade.

We grabbed a great spot in Town Square.

Parade spot selfie!

We took a bunch of parade pictures.

Alice!

The caterpillar. <3

Cinderella's carriage.

I loved these light-up dresses.

This Ugly Sister was amazing! She did a high kick!

Peter Pan and Captain Hook.

Dopey!

Assorted dwarves.

I was very pleased to see Elliot as I'm a big fan of Pete's Dragon and think it's a very underrated movie.

We followed the parade up Main Street and then found a spot at the Castle to watch Celebrate the Magic. We were more intent on seeing Wishes but figured we might as well watch this first. Boy, were we glad we did!

We took a lot of photographs of this as it was incredible.

I love the colouring of the castle in this shot.

This was the first Wreck it Ralph thing we'd seen on this trip, and we were happy, as we LOVE that film.

This was possibly the most romantic moment of our entire honeymoon. You'll have seen me mention previously that Tangled, its characters and the song 'I See the Light' are very important to us (As I've also said before, 'I See the Light' was my coming up the aisle song!). I don't want to be too mushy about this but it was a really special moment for us, getting to see the castle all lit up by the Tangled lanterns. To paraphrase Rapunzel in Tangled, it felt like the lanterns were meant for us. At this point, I was completely overwhelmed with emotion, simply at the magic of being in the Magic Kingdom at night with my husband. If you'd told me five years ago that this was going to happen, I'd have laughed at you. Possibly the best moment of my entire honeymoon for me.

After Celebrate the Magic, we were both full of joy and couldn't believe what we'd just witnessed. Just as we were recovering from the beautiful show, Wishes started, and it was just as spectacular.

Phew. So, that was all the shows over for the night, and as it was Extra Magic Hours till 1am, we decided to take advantage of this by running about MK at night doing some things we had missed out on so far.

We went into the Arcade in Tomorrowland and had a game of Pacman Smash. No prizes for guessing who won. My handbag kept slipping down off my arm so I blame this for my failure to be any good at this game.

I had a sudden uncontrollable urge to go on the People Mover.

Seeing the riders start off on Space Mountain made me want to go on Space Mountain again, but I don't think Bob would have coped with it.

After this, we headed up to Storybook Circus and had a spin on the Dumbos.

Then we went on the Barnstormer. I had forgotten how short it is!

Last stop in Storybook Circus was to meet Daisy and Minnie.

Minnie loved my ears. I loved her dress.

I like this photo. <3

We went back along to the Carousel for a late night ride. It was lovely. I picked a pink and teal horse to match my outfit. Bob refused to take a picture of the horse as he was too scared about dropping his camera.

We had a wander around some shops. This photo was necessary, I felt.

Peter Pan's Flight had a 20 minute wait (the shortest wait for it we'd seen all trip!) so that was our last stop of the night. It was magical and the perfect end to a lovely evening. After Peter Pan, our feet were aching from all the walking we'd done that day, and we were both very sleepy so we got the bus back to the resort.

My feet were so sore, I walked back to our room barefoot.

Day 6:
We woke up early and went down to Landscape of Flavors for breakfast.

Neither of us were very hungry so we split some character waffles (predictably, Bob had the bacon, I had the fruit). After breakfast we met my grandparents who gave us a lift to Universal Studios and gave us the one park tickets they had bought for us.

Arriving at Universal Studios.

We'd both dressed in green and I'd worn themed jewellery for WWoHP as we're both Slytherins.

Golden snitch earrings!

Islands of Adventure selfie.

Of course, Bob freaked out when we got to the Marvel Comics bit, and we took a lot of pictures!

Had to stop for a shot with my favourite X-Man, Rogue.

We kept walking up through Jurassic Park because our first stop was going to be WWoHP!

I had to stop along the way and pose with my favourite dinosaur.

After a long walk in the hot sun, we got to Hogsmeade!

Bob caught the Hogwarts Express.

And then we took some silly Have You Seen This Wizard shots.

We saw people queueing for Ollivander's and decided to join the queue. It was a ridiculously hot day, and unlike Disneyworld, the queues at Universal are generally in the sun with no AC. By the time we got into Ollivanders, we were way too hot and uncomfortable. A boy whose birthday it was got to go through the wand choosing process, which must have been a lovely experience for him. To be honest though, I kind of felt that the experience was not really worth the long queue in the heat. The best part of Ollivander's was getting to look at all of the wands in the store. I had decided on getting Narcissa Malfoy's wand, but the store was very over-crowded, so we decided to come back later and buy the wand from another store.

After that, we headed up to Hogwarts and went on the ride in the castle, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Snapped a picture of this on the way in. It was impressive. The ride was spectacular - a lot like Soarin' but much more thrilling and detailed. We loved it but I had worn my Crocs that day and spent the whole ride worrying they were going to fall off. When we got off, a cast member told us people's shoes fell off all the time! Top tip for IoA: wear shoes that don't fall off easily! After the ride, it was my turn to feel ill. Something about the ride made me feel really nauseous so we had to take a break after it. We decided at that point to avoid the big thrill rides as I wasn't feeling up to them, and Bob was nervous about them as he'd only been on one rollercoaster! Unfortunately, there isn't a lot at IoA that ISN'T thrill rides, so we spent a lot of the day just walking around.

As I was feeling queasy, we headed back to Hogsmeade and got cold drinks. Bob had a Butterbeer, I had a Pumpkin Juice. The cast member who served us loved Bob's Green Ranger t-shirt. She told us she was going out as Kimberley (the original Pink Ranger) for Halloween. She actually reminded me of the Pink Ranger (Amy Jo Johnson). Bob loved his Butterbeer. I tried a bit - it was very sweet but moreish. Bob got a cold drink headache. My Pumpkin Juice was lovely. I kept the pumpkin as a souvenir. We had a long seat on a wall and spent a long time just appreciating our surroundings. I could have spent all day in Hogsmeade but eventually we decided to move on.

We moved onto Seuss Landing. We loved it here. It was obviously meant for children but it was my favourite part of the park!

I loved all the bright colours and crazy shapes.

We went on this train ride. It was cute and gave you good views of the whole of Seuss Landing.

Then we went on the Caro-Seuss-el. I laughed so hard at the name of this ride.

The characters here were fantastic.

I picked this one because it was my favourite colours (green, purple and pink).

Then we went on The Cat in the Hat. This was my favourite ride of the whole day! Everyone should go on it! We went back over to Marvel comics land where we met the Green Goblin.

He was pretty funny. First he called me the Green Ranger, here to save the day, then Bob told him I was clearly a villain like him as I'm a Slytherin.

He told me to squeeze his hand and then said I didn't have enough guilt or rage to be a villain.

Bob said he was chatting me up. It was pretty funny. I just kept giggling like a loon the whole time.

Bob with the Green Goblin

Then we went on the Spiderman ride. Bob loved this ride.

We moved on to Toon Lagoon and popped into this place for some sandwiches.

I got a Tuna Salad Sub. Bob couldn't resist getting the ENORMOUS Dagwood Sandwich, of course. He couldn't finish it but said it was amazing. When we were in here eating lunch, we spotted my LIFELONG HERO, Betty Boop outside, but by the time we'd eaten, she had gone.

We went into the Betty Boop shop and spent quite a while looking. I wanted to buy something but couldn't decide what to get.

In the end I bought this as a little memento of the day. We asked the cast member who served me when Betty was going to be back, and she said it wasn't for another forty minutes, and so we commenced our epic wait for Betty.

We spent a lot of time just hanging around Toon Lagoon. It was a pretty cool place to hang out. We got too hot and stood in the Splash Zone of the log flume for ages.

Waiting for Betty Boop selfie!

Then we sat on a bench for a while.

Finally Betty arrived!

She was very much worth the wait! She had an adorable voice just like Betty and told me I was 'so cute' and 'so sassy'.

This is us doing the sassy pose.

We went back to Jurassic Park. We decided not to go on the ride as everyone was coming off SOAKED and we really weren't in the mood that day.

We went into the dinosaur centre thing.

I made this dinosaur. The traits selected sum me up pretty well.

Getting sassy with a dinosaur.

I made Bob try on this hat. I can't not giggle at this photo.

We went back up to Hogwarts.

We went on Flight of the Hippogriff. It was a lot like Thunder Mountain but the queue was too hot and unpleasant, and the ride was a bit bumpy.

Then we went shopping.

This is the best thing I bought all holiday.

We were very hot so we stopped for some Goose Juice in Seuss Landing.

I had Grape flavour. It was amazing!

Bob got watermelon.

We went to the big store at the entrance and bought a few more bits and pieces, including this prefect badge, then we left to meet my grandparents, who took us to the Florida Mall so Bob could see an American mall. We had some pizza and then went to Hot Topic and squeeed over the Adventure Time merch.

We found another store with tons of Adventure Time merch. I don't know if anyone here is a fan but I got this Lumpy Space Princess dress. The assistant looked at me like I was insane when I bought it. After that, we'd definitely had enough grandparent time (they'd been criticising my tattoos so I was fed up), and so we got a lift back to the resort and chilled out for the night.

Here is our haul from WWoHP. We went a bit nuts in the gift shop. The t-shirt and brown wand (Sirius Black's) are Bob's. The badge and Narcissa wand are mine, and then we got a snitch and chocolate frog to share.
Lauren's Favourite Attraction/Moment: Meeting Betty Boop.
Bob's Favourite Attraction/Moment: The Spiderman ride.
What I Learned That Day: Universal Studios needs more Air Conditioning.

VelcroPooh

Loving all the pics! I'm a Betty Boop fan as well every since we bought a motorcycle. Smile

Big smile LOVE LOVE LOVE the pictures of the Electical Parade and fireworks. I really hope that they still have Celebrate the Magic when we go for our honeymoon, it looks AMAZING! I am so glad that you were feeling better and hopefully you stayed feeling better for the remainder of your trip. Can't wait to read more!

I love Pete's Dragon too! Hubby hates it though so we don't watch it often at our house sad

Totally agree about Ollivanders...totally overhyped and not worth the wait. Hopefully they do something to fix this with the expansion.

Thank you love. Celebrate the Magic was amazing - you should definitely make a point of catching it. yay It's a great thing to do on honeymoon. I also recommend World Showcase at night if you're after a romantic time. We spent a whole day at World Showcase and it was very romantic. I'll get to that in a few days hopefully. silly

Totally! Bob's not big on Pete's Dragon either but I love it. He says Elliot is stupid - I don't even... Yeah, tbh I feel like the attractions we went on at IoA were not worth the wait a lot of the time. I loved WWoHP, but I was happy just wandering around in it and the attractions were just a bonus. The only part of IoA other than WWoHP that really appealed to me was Seuss Landing. I think my heart belongs to Disney.

We wore our Magic Bands all week because it was so much easier than carrying room keys. I think it's a nice touch that they have your name engraved inside too. Universal was fun - it would be nice to do the other Universal Studios park next time. I think my heart belongs to Disney though! yay

Did you choose to be a slytherin? Or did it choose you (sorting hat laugh )
As much I would like to be a Griffindor, I have a feeling I would be a Hufflepuff!

We were sorted into Slytherin on Pottermore. I actually thought I was a Ravenclaw and Bob thought he was a Hufflepuff, then we learned we are actually evil geniuses. I am okay with this realisation. Laughing out loud I think Slytherin's a really cool house - it's just a shame all the Slytherin characters in the book are bad guys (minus Snape).

Day 7:
We had intended to go to DHS in the morning, but we were so tired from the day before, we decided to take the morning off and head there in the afternoon.

We had a quiet morning by the pool and snapped some cheeky pool pictures at the same time.

Bob blinding everyone with his pasty Scottish chest.

This was the Flippin' Fins pool, which was outside our room. It was nice and handy and much quieter than the Big Blue Pool in the centre of the resort. We used this pool all week.

After a quiet morning, we got the bus to DHS. It was the closest to our resort and the bus journey was really quick.

Bob freaked out the second we entered the park and took a bunch of photos. He loves movies, and art deco style, so this was his favourite park.

We were disappointed not to see more Jessica Rabbit merch on our trip. I was excited by this picture though.

Obligatory shot under the big Mickey hat.

By this point we were starving and were standing looking at the map looking confused, as we tried to search for a place nearby to eat that had food I liked. A helpful cast member noticed our confusion and pointed us in the direction of ABC Commissary.

Bob had an Angus Cheeseburger and I had a salad with salmon. Bob said this was the best lunch he ate for the full trip. He said it wasn't too heavy, unlike a lot of the food we had eaten. I loved my salad! It was, like Bob's, nice and light but really tasty. Top marks to this place!

After lunch, it was straight onto The Great Movie Ride. This is one of my favourite Disney attractions so I was buzzing with excitement.

The queueing section for this ride is really beautiful.

Bob freaked over this because Star Wars is his favourite thing on the entire planet.

The ride itself was amazing of course.

LOVE Singin' in the Rain!

'...Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon and for the rest of your life.' *tear*

The Wizard of Oz is one of my favourite films of all time.

After that, we headed straight for TSMM to try and get a fastpass. It was only about 2pm but all the fastpasses were gone and there was a 50 minute wait, so we just decided to wait in it.

Queue pictures.

The queue was awesome. It's great that they have so much fun stuff for you to look at.

There was another 'alterna-couple' in the line behind us, with tattoos, piercings and funky hair. They were wearing Happily Ever After badges too and I think the guy pointed us out to his wife. It was really nice. One of the things I loved about Disneyworld was seeing so many other alternative people walking around. I had worried that I would get funny looks with my tattoos and dress sense, but we definitely did not experience this! The World is full of awesome tattooed people. <3

I made Bob take a picture of the monkeys because I used to have these when I was little.

Mr. Potato Head! Whatta guy.

So the Toy Story ride was great. I sucked at it. Big surprise there. My accuracy was higher than Bob's though, so I was like, 'yay, I beat you at a thing!' When we got out, we realised we'd missed a rainstorm, so queuing for what turned out to be 45 minutes paid off!

After Toy Story, it was time for one of my favourite things ever - The Little Mermaid show.
There was a little girl SCREAMING before the show that she just wanted to see 'ARIEEEEEL'. I was quite grateful we were both adults at that point.

We got amazing seats with a great view.

This girl was incredible. I was on the verge of tears when she sang 'Part of Your World'. Vastly preferred her to the Ariel in Ariel's Grotto. She had the character and voice absolutely perfect.

Ursula was moderately terrifying.

Bit of a random tangent here. All week I'd been wearing 'themed' outfits to each of the parks. If there is such a thing as a 'fashion nerd', that is what I am (haha if you don't believe me, scroll through my previous posts and look at the details in my outfits for each day. My Epcot shorts have space rockets on them, for example). On this day I'd worn my green dress thinking it wasn't themed at all and I'd broken my chain of themed outfits. Then I saw Ariel's dress in the show and realised it was just like mine! Didn't manage to get a good shot of her dress, but I spent the whole rest of that day feeling like the little mermaid, so I was very happy. <3 We had a look at the wait times for Tower of Terror and Rock 'n' Rollercoaster. Rock 'n' Rollercoaster was off temporarily and the wait for Tower of Terror was pretty long, so we went into the Beauty and the Beast show instead.

Again, I loved this show as a kid. I don't know which is my favourite because both shows are incredible! My three favourite Disney movies EVER are Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid and Tangled.

Of course my nerdy husband had to get a photo of Scotty's handprints.

Waiting for the show to start.

Selfie!

The moment I hear the opening chords to 'Little Town', I freak out. Basically, and this is quite pathetic, I always associate this song with my childhood, and with being the strange girl who always had her head in a book, 'a most peculiar mademoiselle'. It's one of my favourite Disney songs.

I loved Belle. She was kind of odd-looking, but in a good way. Very pretty and she had a lovely voice. She was perfect for Belle,I thought.

The whole cast was amazing but Gaston stole the show. He got the biggest cheer at the end!

I love the cake lady! Laughing out loud

Rather embarrassingly, we both cried a little at this point.

The show was spectacular. We're so glad we saw it.

When we came out of Beauty and the Beast, there was only a 10 minute wait for Tower of Terror.

A nice couple offered to get a photo of us in front of it. For some reason Bob chose to keep the photo where I have a plant growing out of my head. Thanks love. Bob knew nothing about the ride before he went on, but he LOVED it. It was his favourite ride of the whole holiday. He's STILL talking about it.

By the time we got off Tower of Terror, Rock 'n' Rollercoaster was back on, so we went on.

I was concerned about Bob as he'd been freaked out after Space Mountain, but he really enjoyed this one. I think he just needed to get used to the whole rollercoaster thing. I love this ride.

After Rock 'n' Rollercoaster, we decided to get some ice cream sundaes. I got plain Cookies 'n' Cream. It was enormous. I only ate about half.

Bob had a Cookies 'n' Cream ice cream sundae. It looked amazing.

Then it was time for the thing Bob had been waiting on all day. I think he was actually worried we weren't going to do it because he kept mentioning it over and over again. At one point he said, 'Oh I don't mind if we don't do Star Tours, if we don't have enough time' which was blatantly the opposite of what was true. I was like, 'Of course we'll do Star Tours honey!' Anyway, so Bob went nuts when he saw it and started taking photos of everything, in typical Bob style.

Bob wanted to take this guy home.

Star Tours was good fun. Bob had fun looking around the gift shop afterwards too!

He ended up getting this pin and a mini light-up Yoda lightsaber.

Then we went on Muppet Vision. It was okay, a little dated maybe now.

At this point we realised it was almost time for Fantasmic and so headed down to the theatre.

It was cool seeing characters we hadn't seen anywhere else - we noticed a complete lack of Hercules stuff and we love Hercules!

Basically no Pocahontas stuff either.

We found the guys who did the crowd warm-up a little obnoxious, but I guess they were doing their best to keep us entertained.

The show itself was spectacular of course.

The bit with each of the Disney couples was my favourite part.

It was great to see all the villains though!

Jafar as a snake.

Oh my, I do love Maleficent.

After Fantasmic, we battled the crowds to get back to the bus stop. We didn't wait long for a bus at all though!

Little Mermaid was on the big screen when we got back to the resort so we stayed to watch Poor Unfortunate Souls before grabbing an individual cheese pizza each at Landscape of Flavours - we ate a lot of these as they were simple, tasty, and came with loads of Caesar Salad. We walked through the Ink and Paint Shop on our way to get dinner and I stopped to look at pins. A little girl dressed as Mulan took an interest in my pin collecting and gave me some pin advice. It was very cute!

After dinner we sat by the pool bar and had a couple of cocktails. I'd been too ill earlier in the holiday to have any alcohol so this was the first alcoholic drink we'd had. I had a Banana Cabana and Bob had an Island Moonshine. We had two each and then went to bed.

Lauren's Favourite Attraction/Moment: The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast shows.
Bob's Favourite Attraction/Moment: Tower of Terror.
What I Learned That Day: Hollywood Studios is such a cool place to hang out as grown-ups. I will definitely dedicate more time to this park next visit!

I checked out the Pottermore site. It is great - can't believe I haven't heard of it before. So I got myself an owl and a wand and headed to the sorting hat where... Yes you guessed it... I am a Hufflepuff!

I am really enjoying your trip report and photos clapping

Ravenclaw here.

Funny thing is, I went to Universal Islands of Adventure before I'd done anything more than see the first Potter movie. Knowing almost nothing about any of the houses, I said I'd want to be Ravenclaw simply because I liked their colors best. Then after I'd read all the books and seen all the movies, I went to Pottermore and got exactly what I wanted.
