Looking for advice on Fantasmic

Hi guys/gals.

As many of you know I am finally crossing Christmas in the World off of my bucket list this year with a quick trip with my parents Dec 5-8. I haven't seen Fantasmic in ages and my folks have never seen it so I want to make sure we check it out before the Osbourne Spectacle of Lights the day we're in HS.

Here's my dilemma...a few months back I tried to book the Fantasmic Dinner package at the Hollywood Brown Derby, but dinner was already booked up. The best they could give me was a lunch package at 12:15. Well I have since learned that Fantasmic is on the Fast Pass + list at HS, and there is a dinner reservation at the Brown Derby available at 4:00 PM. Would it be better to cancel my Fantasmic lunch package and take the 4:00 dinner reservation with the Fast Pass + for Fantasmic, or is there a reason I should keep the lunch package (reserved seats, a better view, etc.)? I'm torn, so I'd love your feedback!

The dinner package seating is so much better then the fastpass seating. The dinner package seats are in the Mickey section (middle of the theatre) and Scar (off center). I believe they use Sebastian as well if needed. So the dinner package seats are usually nicer. Fastpass just guarantees a seat. You also don't have to show up at the 90 minute mark with the dinner package but the sooner you get there, the better seats you would get.

I know that I'm late responding but I agree with Mandy - go for the dinner package if you can.

Thanks, guys. I was just hoping to not have to get to DHS so early in the day (our reservation is for 12:15). I was hoping to hit Animal Kingdom for the morning and then head over to DHS later in the day. But if the reserved seats are that much better than the fast pass seats, perhaps I need to rethink things.

You're welcome!
