Making your Dining Reservations Online

This feature is supposed to be just around the corner (May 26th is the date I've been hearing). Does anyone have any other info?

I asked the same exact question to a cast member at DVC Member Sercvices yesterday. Either the CM intentionally withheld info, or he truly didn't know, but he acted as if it was the first he was hearing about it, and didn't give me a straight answer as to if and/or when this would happen.

Weird.

I heard that TAs have access to it now, and that it's only a matter of time before everyone can access it.

Would be interesting to at least see it...though my guess is that it will crash a few times before it's fully use-able. laugh

Looks like the Disney website now has a "link" to the online ADR service, but it just brings you back to the dining FAQ.

Seems like they would have to coordinate this with some kind of incentive to not miss your ADRs. Otherwise it seems like people will just get tons of ones that they don't honor.

I have been using this for my clients and its awesome so far. I am worried what will happen when it opens up for everyone. I think it might crash. If anyone needs anything looked up let me know. Smile

I'm worried too.

Actually, my major worry is that people will start booking 2 restaurants for the same time slot "just in case they want something different that night." Does the system allow you to book two things in the same slot?

I would think it's going to do a lot to exacerbate the problem of people racking up ADRs they never use. Do you know if they have any plans to do anything about that?

Well it asks for info that you have to fill out like the persons name and phone number. Then the TA info goes in. I am worried that the system will crash with people just wanting to see how it works never mind booking and over booking. If a client chooses to do there own dining and then asks for my help. I ask them to send me a copy of the dining and then I will check online. If I can get what they want online I call and cancel the other ADR.

The online system should have some kind of fee applied to the price of your meal. Like California Grill does, where if you no show you're out some money.

I actually worry about this too. I mean it was hard enough to get an ADR at Le Cellier already!
