Monsters vs. Aliens

Reading mixed (at best) reviews of MvA. Anyone seen it yet?

No sir. When does it open? I'm guessing DW won't be clamoring, but you never can tell with her!

Just Saw it... One of the best CG movies ever. Great story and Characters. Great animation and a surprising Soundtrack. Very Funny Too, Go see it in 3D.

Ouch, I consider that #1.

Thinking...

1. Incredibles
2. Robots
3. Monsters vs Aliens
4. Beowolf

Dreamworks should give you a commission because you've single handedly gotten me excited to go see this. (Definitely in Imax 3d!)

Just saw this as well. I thought it was a little bit too long, but that Seth Rogan stole the show! 3D was great!

Saw it in IMAX 3-D. I thought it was fun. It was interesting because I stopped even really noticing it was in 3-D by the end of the movie.

That happens to me a lot with those 3-D films. They don't really go out of their way to do any major 3-D "tricks" to remind the audience. It's nothing like Philharmagic or Muppets.

yea, but the films that do use a lot of 3d tricks people call cheap, and gimmicky.

Actually I think saying "I forgot it was 3d" is a great compliment to the story because I find that the more I am involved in the movie the less I care about (or forget) how i'm watching it, IMAX 3D or a 13" TV.

Seth was great as BOB, but this kind of movie was right up my ally, I love the monster, super hero films.

I agree that it's a compliment. If they keep jabbing stuff at the screen then they're probably scrimping on story. Muppet Vision for example is a really fun show but it's not exactly a compelling movie.
