More Disney Layoffs

So on the heels of their last announcement Disney is apparently laying off more people:

What's interesting is that they are "streamlining" their operations by combining back office functions of both DL and WDW. Can't imagine that won't have at least some effect on how the parks are run. (If it's not, why wouldn't they have done it already?) Anyone have any predicitions of how this might affect our experience, if at all? More grumpy cast members as they get overworked or have their routines messed up?

Their PR machine still seems to be promoting the idea that it's just management and not CMs who are getting the axe. I hope that continues to be true, even though I have no doubt it will affect the CMs indirectly if not directly.

I definitely think the average WDW visitor does not like to think about the idea of Mickey getting laid off. We can live with those guys with notebooks and ties getting cut, but Belle in the unemployment line is just too much.

Yeah they have a lot of incentive to act like they're not doing anything bad to the CMs. Will be interesting to see how accurate that is.
