Our ADR for Cali Grill was 5:40 and we made that in plenty of time. We got a nice table right next to the kitchen and were able to watch the Chef's at work. Our server was Justin who was a really nice guy. I was disappointing to here from Justin that Yoshi , their Master Sushi Chef was gone, she had retired. That didn't stop me from ordering sushi thought:

Spicy Kazan Roll ( in honor of Kris, because she talks this one up so much!)

Here is the rest of dinner, Scrappy had the triple cheese flat bread for an app, then she had the Filet (of course) and I had something new off the menu, the Cast Iron Seared Venison which was delicious!.

Dinner was excellent and we were happy we got to eat there one more time before they closed for the refurb. Justin said they will just move all the staff to other restaurants until the work is finished around late August. Will it still be the California Grill? We will have to wait and see............................

After dinner we headed over to MK. We didn't really stay long and when we went in, the fireworks were just getting ready to start. didyoucall911 was in the park somewhere getting ready to watch the fireworks ( had gotten a text) and we headed over towards the People Mover. We watched Wishes from the People Mover and had it all to ourselves. After we rode that we rode CoP and then decided we were really pretty tired, so we headed back to the Poly and called it a night. Hoping to meet up with didyoucall911 at some point.

It looks SO much warmer than where you came from! You guys were sitting there in the Poly (with Julie & Mike...I am so jealous) in SHORTS! TSHIRTS! Yippee.

Julie, I am coming down on March 31 (a change, MR. Hub, for your list), and will be there through the 6th of April. Staying in Jambo for 4 of those 6 nights (couldn't get any more...all booked up - joined DVC a bit late to get full spring break ressies this year). We gotta meet!

Can't wait for the rest of your report Mr. Hub. I love going to the World with you guys. mickey

So glad we got to meet up with you! Our first WDWFG meet up, here's hoping for many more, you guys are awesome! We had intentions of leaving early, but since the ds called off work, we ended up staying and dragging the teens out of MK around 9:00 - that's a LONG Disney day for us, since we were there at 8:30 for rope drop! So glad the kids have rediscovered Disney, now we can't get them to leave! MK was crowded, the lines were pretty long so we didn't do much. The kids had met friends there and had fast passes so they got to do a lot more. We still haven't done Enchanted Belle, and didn't feel like waiting 60 min last night.
Enjoy the rest of your week, the weather looks great, well, maybe a little warm for you. sarcastic I love the food pics, and can't wait to see and hear about dinner tonight!
Next time you're down we'll have to meet again and hang out longer. We owe you drinks next time, that pineapple is calling my name...

Pictures look great. Keep them coming!

Nice to hear the parks are empty now. I suspect the locals will be visiting this weekend and things will be a bit more crowded.

Despite the delays on the drive down, it sounds like a fantastic trip so far! Some friends of mine are in MK today with their kids for their first trip to the World so I'm crossing my fingers it's great weather and short lines for both of you! crossfingers

Okay , the report from V & A's.
Got dressed in our duds:

Then we headed over for dinner at the Grand Floridian via Monorail. They meet us at the door with the door to welcome us.

Our servers were Christopher and Barbara who were both excellent.

First course: a Amuse-Bouche. This was a trio of one-bite seafood delights: a smoked salmon panna cotta, a smoked salmon cube with lemon oil and a king crab crepe

More to come, going to Yachtsman now!
