New local!!

Hi everyone! My names Brittany, sorry for the cheesy username- I use it for everything and I didn't want to forget it and couldn't come up with a cool Disney themed one so excuse the cheesiness! I am a local, lived in Florida my whole life and just moved over to Orlando a few weeks ago but am a Disney freak and am so glad to have found this board!! I'm not really a "grown up" yet so I hope everyone can accept me!! I'll be turning 20 in August Puzzled and am going to school for Hospitality Management because I would actually like to make Disney my career.. would like to work for one of the resorts.. Polynesian to be exact muchlove I'm excited to get to know everyone!! I'm kinda shy on forums so it'll take me a bit to warm up..

One question I've been wondering- does anyone on here WORK for Disney? and if so, where? and any tips? I've worked the front desk at a Holiday Inn before and am looking for a job since I just moved here. I just applied for the "quick service" position because I see that there are no resort openings and am hoping I'd be able to work my way up eventually..Sorry so much talking!! Nice to meet you all clapping

I work for Disney! biggrin I did the College Program back in 2009 at AK & DTD and now I have a real job (full-time in attractions at MK) that I'll be starting Thursday!

Hi Brittany and welcome! We are all ages and backgrounds here, but our common love for Disney unites us, so it's all good! There are also plenty of locals, as well as a few CMs (both coasts) and a few alumni mickey As for getting a job, if you're still in school at one of our local colleges, I would suggest you keep an eye on the website, but maybe also check with your career office at your school. They might be able to assist you as well. Good luck!
