I love mushrooms! Sorry, Mr Ferret. They are yummy and good for you! But, I had way too much okra in my younger days growing up in the South! I cannot stand it now!!

If I really had to choose, I think I would hit morocco for hummus and pita or maybe a nice quattro pizza!!!!!! maybe even throw a mushroom or 2 on top!!!!

What..Okra is awesome...Cooked with a spicy Masaledar sauce it's too die for...See photo...Fling in some bell peppers and chestnut mushrooms...Yummy..
In Oklahoma we slice it up and dust with with a mix of corn starch/corn meal and flour the deep dry it. Now that is good eatin. But that is served on the side of a steak or fried chicken.

I think mushrooms are one of the grossest foods on the planet. Joe has been known to use his immersion blender to try and sneak them in on me, but I have become suspicious and watch him like a hawk anymore.

I just finished my lunch. Tortillini with (yes) MUSHROOMS!!
Great pics, mrhub. My older sister and her long-time boyfriend know how to make really good breaded portobello mushroom caps and the taste is sooo good. I also like sauteed mushrooms on my burgers and cheesesteaks and every once in a while, on a pizza.

I'm with you, Mrferret. And They. Are. EVERYWHERE! Sometimes they sneak them into my Chinese food. At the Japanese restaurant, the Hibachi chefs lack understanding that I don't want them to give no one mushrooms. I just want them to give ME no mushrooms. So as not to upset my fellow diners, I just pick them out myself, which contaminates my fork. You can't even get a good steak anymore without someone wanting to throw a pile of fungus on it.
Now for vegetables day, I do make a spaghetti squash casserole that resembles a lasagna/pizza, so I suppose we could have done that. But, I was at Disney on vegetable day, so I'm quite certain that I gravitated toward meat that day. Gotta get plenty of protein for in-park workouts!
