Old stuff you miss the most!

So I was thinking today about how Disney keeps evolving and we're starting to see the first generation of "...but when I was a kid, Disney World had..."

I have really fond memories of visiting EPCOT Center (back when it was EPCOT Center) and singing Veggie Fruit Fruit all the way home. Just wondering about everyone else's well-missed attractions that are no more...

I was never able to go on that, as my 1st visit was only 4 years ago.. but I had a Tape of WDW songs and I was ALWAYS singing THAT tune! lol...
I wish I could have seen it...

I miss the pretty white and sparkly room in the original Journey into Imagniation that smelled of roses.

VanRyan - welcome to the WDWForGrownUps! We're glad you're here Smile

My husband and I were talking the other day about how much we miss the Skyway attraction at MK, and we don't really know why it had to go away. It makes me sad to see the little "port" for it in Fantasyland now, turned into stroller parking.

I have always wanted to go on the Skyway even though it was taken out before I ever went!

There is an attraction I miss but don't know the name of. I think it was a similar idea to innoventions where there is are a lot of different things to do in one space. You would go into this little room and close your eyes while a recording was playing of people in a barber shop. You could hear the scissors cutting and it seemed like it was your hair that was being cut! I remember constantly feeling my hair to make sure it was all still there after that.

Oh yes, River Country! I have pics of it in an old souvenir book, but I was never there. As a child (before the other water parks were built) I remember being so intrigued by RC!

This sounds so neat! I wonder what it was. Anyone else remember this attraction?

River Country had nice, calm slides...my style. It was quiet and relaxing.

I know this isn't old, but I miss the Pirate and Princess Party. It was nice to have another time in which you could dress up. It was disappointing the first year they stopped having it. Especially since I lost all that weight to look good in my Aurora costume. (kidding)

You can still wear it to MNSSHP! laugh Although I heard they can give you grief if you try to dress as a princess at the parks.

Bahaha! Is it gone forever, though? I thought they had it for a few years, and just weren't having it this year. Always wanted to go to that one.

Bella - Millionare was here and gone before I ever knew it was, you know, here and gone. Isn't that funny? I guess there was about 5 years that I wasn't in the parks at all...must have been about that time.

Probably..it was SO much fun, Dave and I went at least 4-5 times a trip. It was fun to sit down and be entertained for awhile. Stupid American Idol Experience.

I *loved* Millionaire. Never played it in Fl, but I did in CA. We would go on Sundays and play a few times. As much as we went, we never saw anyone get the trip.

At least the bldg in FL has something in it. Ours sits there empty. Crying

I still wonder why they closed Millionaire. Every time we went it was packed. The attraction couldn't have cost THAT much to run - hardly anyone ever won the trip!
