One More Disney Day

I'm looking at the Who's Going to Disney World post and I see that no one is headed here for "One More Disney Day" - Leap Day, when the parks will be open for 24 hours. My mom asked me yesterday if we wanted to plan to go that day. What do you think? Do you think the crowds will be crazy? Or do you think Disney has way overblown this as a big deal? February crowds are usually pretty light.

Is anyone going to be here February 29, and I've just missed noting it? mickey

My way of thinking is that people who are already visiting there will take advantage of this promotion. I really don't think anyone except locals, like yourself will go, and people who have to travel from far will not go specifically for the extra hours.

I agree.

I read on the Disney Parks Blog the other day that DLR is giving away special Mickey ears to the first so many guests. I want to say 2,000 but can't remember for sure. I haven't seen any giveaways for WDW.

Here at Disneyland we are preparing for madness! It's been issued you can't line up before 10 the night before, but feel free to camp out after that. We as cast members even got special "do you want to work this event?" requests..However, I think it will be mostly AP's since all the kiddos are still in school...

I leave in 8 days for my Leap Day trip... 5 days 4 nights at ASMu. I was going to skip going this year, but the event and the fact I have to burn 4 days of vacation before March 15th changed my mind... oh, my very good tax refund helped extend the trip!

Same here. To me I think it would be pure chaos, but I could be wrong. But I would love to ride the Haunted Mansion at like 3am. The idea of that would probably get me there if I was local and had a pass.

I was thinking of going after work for a little bit, just to say I was there.
