Our Anniversary Trip

Just wanted to share plans..My fiance and I have been together going on 10 yrs...Money is an issue this year and didn't think we'd make it WDW even though we've got DVC pts...I rented most of them out to friends, but we decided we had to go for our 10 yrs...So in June, we're going for 4 nights, staying @ AKLV Kidani (waitlisted for CL, but doubt we'll get it) our AP's expired, so no parks, just chillin'...Here's the plan:

Mon 6/4 arrive approx 4:30..Dinner will either be @ Mara or just apps & drinks @ Sanaa, our fav clapping

Tues 6/5, This is a surprise for my fiance-I booked the Afternoon Tea @ the GF...He's gonna love it! And it's not too expensive, would prob cost same or even less than a TS would.

Wed 6/6. We booked the Jiko wine & cheese hour from 3pm-4pm...It's only $25pp, we did this in October and it was one of our fav things we've EVER done in WDW.

Thurs 6/7 DTD during the day..Lunch somewhere...BW at night, dinner @ Big River Grille, prob just beers & apps...TYhen we're gonna mini golfing, we've never been!

Fri 6/8 We're leaving sad We'll be on the 2pm ME so we'll chill by the pool until the time comes.

One of the things we like to do is go onto the beach at the Poly and watch the fireworks from there, they also pipe in the music for wishes and it's wonderful. You do need to get there early if you want to get a beach chair or you could just watch sitting on the beach.

Love the GF Afternoon Tea. So civilized!

I love the sound of that trip. Good use of your dollars. Is the Jiko Wine & Cheese hour the same thing as the Jiko Wine Tasting? I've heard good things about them.

What a great trip you have planned! I'm jealous of the Jiko wine tasting - I really want to do that one of these days. We did afternoon tea at GF a few years ago for my mom's bday and absolutely LOVED it. We've been talking about making it a family mother/daughter tradition since. Hmmm....maybe this year!

Which course are you going to go mini golfing at? Fantasia looked like they had spruced it up a bit the last time I was by there.

We are going to do the Fantasia course..It looks like a lot of fun!

We discovered the Hole in Wall bar @ Raglan Road has happy hour from 3pm-7pm, $2 off all draft beers, so we may bne doing that the afternoon of Thurs 6/7 before we golf!

Sounds wonderful! I would never think to just skip the parks. But, there really are so many wonderful/fun things to do without entering the parks. Your trip sounds great! And congrats on the 10 year anniversary.

Manda- thanks! You never know, you might like skipping the parks once in a while...Not often, though, lol.

Robyn, I'll be sure to let you know all about it...I've done the Tea before, in '07, on an all girls trip.

Tried to book Dine w/an Animal Expert @ Sanaa for lunch, but I couldn't get in....I knew it was a long shot, it only seats 12 people and I tried to book it 4 weeks out.
No biggie, I guess, we're thinking of it as money saved.

26 days to go clapping
