Our trip this month

We just got back from spending over a week in Orlando, we went a day in Epcot, a day in AK and 2 days at Universal. We wanted to see Pandora, Rivers of light & the Holiday festival at Epcot. We also have never seen Kong or Diagon Alley. We had a wonderful time. First let me preface this by saying obviously we love WDW, however there were some things I noticed that need some "attention".
We saw the film at France's Pavilion, my wife loved it. I haven't seen it in probably 30 years, coincidentally it's the same film I saw back in the '80's. With the current state of HD film quality isn't it about time to update this? We saw Canada's film as well, at least it was updated in 2007. Over at AK in the queue for K Safari I think that film shown on the TVs is the same one from '98? To make matters worse some of the TVs were not working, static & out of focus. Rivers of light was disappointing as some of the "floats" did not work correctly. Pandora was a little under whelming at first but much better at night.
We enjoyed all of the food and beverages at Epcot's festival. I hate to nit pick but I wondered if anyone else has had the same opinion. In somewhat of a contrast (it pains me to say this) we enjoyed Diagon Alley/Hogwarts Express and Kong a great deal. More than Pandora, but to be fair we like Harry Potter more than Avatar. When/if Avatar has a sequel we probably wont go to the theater to see it. I guess I'm hoping Disney is taking notes on how US has handled the H Potter areas and their attention to detail. So when they build TS land and especially Galaxies edge it can be as wonderful.

Wow, really? You are the only person that I have heard this from. I haven't been yet my self, so sadly I have nothing to base an opinion on. What was it that you thought it was lacking during the daylight hours?

P.S.

I just saw this on another Disney fan site. The information is best taken to be rumor at this time.

"France besides Ratatouille could see a refresh with the Impressions de France film. A new film is said to be in the works for the pavilion."

To be completely fair we didn't see either of the attractions in Pandora, the lines were just too long. We briefly walked through in the morning then returned after dark. We ate at the canteen which was interesting but good. In retrospect we wish we had just stayed in Pandora rather than see rivers of light which was a bit of a let down. My wife liked Pandora more than I thought she would, actually more than I did. I think I need more time there to appreciate it.
