Polynesian VS Beach Club

If you had your choice which one would you choose and why? They both are goregous resorts.

Great question! I would choose Beach Club because I prefer NOT having to walk outside to get to my room from the lobby. I also like how close it is to Epcot by foot. I always like when I can walk to a theme park, and in this case, you can actually walk to DHS as well!

Poly, nuff said. Sorry , we are Poly lovers. I can understand Admins thoughts about not having to go outside from the lobby to get to your room, but once you check in there, you never have to go to the lobby again if you don't want to. We love taking the small boats over to the Magic Kingdom, they are so much less crowded then the Ferry boat and the Monorail at times. You can also get to 3 parks by use of Monorail & boats. We just really love the theme at the Poly, where as some people complain that it is "dark", It's lit with Tiki torches, what do they expect! That's part of the theme.

Well having never stayed at either and both being on our 'top' list to try we went for BC. For us it was quite a bit cheaper, plus we liked the idea of stormalong bay, Beaches and Cream, walking to EPCOT and being on the boardwalk.

Been to both for a wander round and probably prefer the look of Poly though and would love to be in a MK resort, plus watching wishes from your room.... humm...... not much help am i? LOL

I think I would pick the poly ...the whole tropical island theme just blows me away. We can't afford to stay there but we visit each time we go. I just love the feeling I am somewhere in the south pacific. The magic of Disney just can't be beat where ever you stay.

I like both - tough question! I think for my first experience, I'd do the Poly. The sense of Disney history is greater there. But I'd be back the next year for Beach Club - being that close to my favorite park in the whole world, Epcot, would be outrageous!

I'd pick BC. Part of the deluxe for me is being able to go through the lobby and stay inside the hotel to get my room.

I would pick Beach Club because it is within walking distance to Beaches and Cream, Epcot, Fantasia Gardens putt putt course. Just so many things to do there.

I am sooo looking forward to visiting the Poly in Dec. I was there so many years ago and loved the look of it. My husband has never been there. We're going to Poly, Animal Kingdom Lodge, Grand FLA., and maybe Wilderness just to take in the scenery and get a fancy drink (Lapu Lapu at Poly). I'm most looking forward to the Poly out of all of them though.

Maybe next trip we'll actually stay there. What a luxury.

I love the Beach Club, but the Polynesian steals my heart every time. The theming is so complete, and it's one of the originals, and on the monorail. I find the Poly totally transporting and utterly wonderful.

I love to hear so many people talk up the Poly. When we go in January, we are surprising our friends and staying at the Poly, rather then SSR where they think we are staying. Scrappy & I are busting at the seams everytime we think about it. Hoping they are going to be as excited as we are surprising them!

I agree with Lizzy_B.

I'm going to pick Poly - since I'll be staying there in 2012!!!!! Woot!

Interestingly enough, Beach Club and Boardwalk were my 2nd choices. Their locations are just amazing - walking distance to TWO PARKS! Incredible. I'll likely stay there next.
