Pop Century your thoughts !!!

Hi all

It's been awhile since my last post, hope everyone is doing well and enjoying all your trips... I'm planning another summer family WDW trip.. I'm looking for any and all feedback about the Pop Century resort positive or negative.. I have stayed at the Poly, Caribbean Beach, Riverside before. I'm looking to scale it back a little since I will be footing the bill for 2 rooms.. We generally are in the rooms for maybe 6 hours a nite just to sleep ( crazy i know sleep by 1am wake up 6am shower and we are out ) and possibly will hit the pool once or twice for a bit..

I appreciate all the feedback
Thanks

I have stayed there a couple of times in my pdvc days,(pre Disney Vacation club) and enjoyed it very much every time. I am sure you will enjoy it also and not regret it at all. Have fun.

I haven't stayed there myself, but I often hear good things about it.

You can see inside of one of the newly refurbished rooms, and read some insight on this blog post below

Pop is my go to resort. I've never had a bad experience there. I'm staying there again next month.

We own DVC also but when we are going without using points (mostly when I go alone or a just the 2 of us) we always stay at POP. We love it there. Never any issues when we have been there. Just stayed over Christmas and going back next month also!

I'm staying at Pop for the first time in March (4-7) and am happy to post my thoughts when I return. I have stayed at Riverside, the Contemporary and the Polynesian before as an adult, and All Star Music many ages ago when I was in high school. Most everything I've read online and in this forum about Pop seems positive!

We love Pop! We stayed there pre-renovations but the new rooms look awesome!

Just got back from a whirlwind Disney trip and stayed at the Pop. We loved it! The majority of our trips we've stayed at the Contemporary - have also done Poly and Riverside - so we weren't sure what we'd think and now are saying this may be our go-to resort (much more affordable).

We were in a Renovated room on first floor of the 70s by the lake. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and efficient. It was me and my mom in the room. She slept on the Murphy bed that pulled down over the table (we left it down the entire trip), which was the same size as the other bed. I could see the room being a bit crowded if there were four adults, but it worked well for two of us. We liked that there were Dividers for the sink area and for the toilet toilet/shower area so you could easily have privacy and people doing multiple things without having to wait.

We found the bus station at the resort to be great - a signboard that said when the next one was coming and separate queues to keep everyone organized (much more efficient than at the Contemporary). The food court was serviceable, typical options, liked the booths. We didn't use the pool. We walked around to see all the theming, it was fun to reminisce about the decades represented. There's also a running trail/walking path over to the Art of Animation. We will definitely be going back to the Pop (hopefully soon)!

FinalChapter, did you decide where you're going to stay yet? If you have any questions, I'll try my best to answer.

Just found this group and going through all the information on it.

I am headed to WDW in early December 18 and staying at Pop Century so I am glad to see reviews are good for this resort.

CEB
Thanks for the details of your stay, We did decide to stay at Pop Century and i'm looking forward to it... We are staying in a "premium room" they are suppose to be closer to the food court and the bus stop, well so they say... We really aren't big pool people, but i will jump in to "test the waters" biggrin

My trip isn't until August, but i will post the details of it when i return..

Thanks
