Hi! I did post a little about this before but just incase you missed it this trip was NOT planned in the slightest we have always just gone to our happy place once a year and we've been more than happy with this however one Saturday morning when I got up my mam said "I need to tell you something but I don't want you to get your hopes up" (ha!) she told me that there was cheap flights in April! We couldn't book until she got to work on the Monday so a very long a restless weekend went by and Monday morning holidays from work were authorised and the flights were booked!!! We had a bit of trouble booking accommodation without going into boring details but we managed to do it! we were going to pay to have a dining plan because financially it worked out for us that we would save money but sadly the company we ended up booking through we wouldn't be able to add the dining plan on so mam said I could make 1 or 2 reservations........haha bless her she had no idea what she was letting herself in for!!! So now everything is booked and FP have been made now I just have to wait for the day to arrive!
So as a little introduction Hi I'm Amy a 26 year old Disney addict (and proud!) and will be travelling with my Disney addict mother! This is us......
So far this is our plans!
Tuesday 26th April
We will travel down to Manchester airport and stay overnight in a hotel, the original plan had been to drive down on the Wednesday morning but the journey is about 3hours without traffic and we would be travelling down hitting pretty much every towns rush hour as we go! And I started panicking if we get stuck in traffic and we start running late (I HATE running late!) so we did a bit of research and found a good deal at a hotel where we get a room with 2 double beds! (unheard of in the UK! We usually get 2 single beds or 1 double bed!) A 2 course meal each with a glass of wine AND a buffet breakfast (which is ideal for me as I don't eat on the long plane ride!) for really quite a good price we decided we couldn't pass it up! Hopefully get to bed early and get a good night's sleep before DISNEY DAY!
Wednesday 27th
So this is the day we travel to the bubble! (Still doesn't feel real!) We have a later flight than usual 12.45 so we will be able to get up at a more normal time, eat breakfast and then casually make our way over to the airport, we park in the meet and greet because it's quite cheap and I love that my car is just waiting for me when I get home! We are due to land in Orlando at 4.45 so straight through security we will probably take our bags with us because we will have very little luggage, I'm hoping we get to Port Orleans Riverside by 7pm which may be a bit ambitious but I can dream right! My plan is that I'm thinking I'm going to head to HS, mam may come depending if she is feeling up to it but unless there are some major weather issues I'm going! I really want to see symphony in the stars, I've never seen it before and they are only on til 30th April, we do have another night set aside to see these but I'd like to see them twice because I know the new fireworks show will have taken over by September! If I can stay awake this long I'll have some delicious make your own pasta back at riverside before collapsing into bed!
Thursday 28th
First proper Disney day! And the only place to start it for us is the Magic Kingdom! We have FP for Big Thunder Mountain, Peter Pan's Flight and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train, we also have a BOG lunch reservation for 12.25 we also plan on staying in MK to see the Festival of Fantasy then we will make our way over to EPCOT for the Flower and Garden festival! I cannot express how excited I am to see this as it's been a lot of years since I've seen it and it has grown so much!
Friday 29th
We will start off the day at EPCOT more looking round the F&G festival and just taking it all in then later on heading to MK for the fireworks I was hoping to book FP for wishes but it wasn't available when I booked, I will still keep checking but does anyone know if the music for wishes is piped into Fantasyland? Because if so that's going to be our go to area to watch wishes from! We also have FP for 7 Dwarfs Mine Train and Haunted Mansion
Saturday 30th
Heading out to MK this morning FP free so just wandering I think! I'm really looking forward to being more laid back FP wise I just hope the crowd levels are kind! We will head back out to HS that afternoon we have FP for TSMM, TOT and ST and I would like to get all these in before our 6.25 reservation at Mama Melrose's! We are excited about this place I've heard a lot of good things I wanted to make sure I got it in incase it's one of the fatalities of HS expansion! We plan on seeing Symphony in the Stars and the new stage show tonight I'm also hoping they change the times of Fantasmic so I can see that too because I love it so much a trip is not complete without it! If not I'll wait til September!
Sunday 1st
I'm hoping to go to HS this morning with no FP but I really want to meet Kylo Ren, Chewbacca and if the Olaf M&G is up and running too! again this morning will be a go with the flow which I'm excited about (not sure how excited my mam is about the M&G portion but luckily she loves me enough not to mind!) we will be getting the bus straight from here to AK where I have a FP for Expedition Everest before our 2.15 reservation at Yak & Yeti (love this place!) we also have FP for FOTLK and Kilimanjaro safaris I'm hoping that Rivers of Light will be on by this time and if it is available for FP I'll switch one of ours out for it!
Monday 2nd
We plan on hitting up EPCOT this morning I've made FP for Test Track, Spaceship Earth and character spot the only one we will be using is probably TT we could use the other ones but I'm not sure if we will, take in some more of the F&G festival really make the most of it then head back to the hotel to get all dressed up for a night at Disney springs! I'm looking forward to seeing the progress on it and SUPER excited to be dining at the Boathouse!
Tuesday 3rd
Last full day today (say what?! I only just got here!) so going back to my favourite MK have FP for Pirates of the Caribbean, Splash Mountain and 7 Dwarfs Mine Train we might go to EPCOT on the night as this seems to have become a bit of a tradition in its own and probably cry that I have to go home so soon!
Wednesday 4th
Departure day but we have a late flight so hopefully have a good portion of the day we are going to head down to Disney Springs to get some last minute shopping in and go to Earl of Sandwich which is a new one for us because we have NEVER been (I know!) so I feel like we need to try it! Then pack up the last bits and check out, have a final supper at Riverside Mill and wait for the tragical express to pick us up
I am sooooooo excited about this trip I cannot even express but this is by far the shortest trip we have ever done! We usually do 2 weeks minimum so this will be a bit strange but I'm so looking forward to it just being me and mam again (we now travel with my auntie and uncle in September) as much as I love travelling with others me and my mam are so similar and love doing exactly the same things and don't have to worry about anyone else we can be a bit selfish!
I know there are a few of you lovely people down there at the same time as us and I would love to meet as many of you as possible so I hope we can work something out!
Now I just have to sit patiently and wait for the time to come so I can go!!!!!
