Resort Pool Bars

Ok, here is a really strange question...

I very rarely go to the pool. We walked down to check out the AKL Kidani pool when we first joined but that was it.

Here is my question. We are going to be there in the heat of the summer (this is the reason for my Typhoon Lagoon/Blizzard Beach thread) and instead of hitting the parks in the heat of the day while Blondie is at golf camp I thought we could hit a few resorts to check them out.

If we want to have a cocktail or snack at the pool bars, are they "monitored" so to speak. I don't want to pool hop, just bar hop. Say I want a drink from the bar at the Boardwalk's Leaping Horse Libations, can I do that? From the picture it looks like it is "in" the pool area where as the bar at Kidani is right outside of the pool area. Do they check your MB? I don't want to swim, just cocktail time.

I know at The Poly, there was a counter on both sides of the pool bar - one inside the enclosure and one outside. We stopped for a drink without going in.

For the Boardwalk, the last time we were there, you didn't need to show your MB, but that may have changed. I would hope they would allow for both. crossfingers

Thanks! I am trying to plan out days. I would rather be sitting inside somewhere but I want to try to fit in some new stuff. I can always hit the indoor lounges if I run into issues

The pool bars can be a blast. Can meet some great folks. If you are a college football fan they are a great place to go during football season. We have visited most of them and never had an issue. The value resorts actually have the nicest ones.

Enjoy!

I'm pretty sure that SSR is inside the pool area only, but that won't be a problem for you because it's not a restricted pool anyway.

That's a great question, and I'm not entirely sure about most of the resort since they gated off the pools. Let me pop off an email to Admin and see if she has an answer.

Trout Pass at Wilderness Lodge is outside of the gates, I remember making note of that last year.
Hurricane Hannah's at the Beach Club is duel sided.
The Polynesian feature pool is duel sided, I'm not sure about the new one that's at the quiet pool.
Laguna Bar at the Coronado is out on the Lakeside by not by the pool.
I don't even remember seeing the pool bar at SSR Highrock pool, so I'm going to go with it's inside the gate.
