The Restaurant Employee Relief Fund

https://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2020/03/28/guy-fieri-is-helping-restaurant-workers-with-this-new-relief-fund-find-out-how-to-apply-here/

The DFB posted a great article today about how Celebrity Chef Guy Fieri (one of the founders of Chicken Guy! in Disney Springs) is teaming up with other organizations like PepsiCo, UberEats to provide some relief to restaurant workers in need during this time.

Food service is a HUGE part of the Disney experience, and the "cast members" you encounter at many Walt Disney World Restaurants are not employed by Disney but by an operating partner instead. Those workers are NOT being compensated by the Walt Disney Company during their lay off the way direct hires are. The Restaurant Employee Relief Fund allows them to apply for a one time grant $500 that will be given out on a first come first serve basis.

Since I am fortunate enough to still be working, I made a donation today. I also purchased a Raglan Road gift card with their current offer (buy $50 gift card and get an extra $25. All proceeds go to their staff).

Thank you so much JoAnn! That's a really awesome Raglan Road deal. Can that be used anywhere in the complex? I'm wondering if I could buy it and then use it at Cooke's of Dublin or Hole In The Wall Bar.
