Tuesday 23rd September - Day 2

We were up pretty early around 6.30am we got ready and packed the car to got to the meet and greet drop off (which believe it or not was the cheapest option!) we arrived around 7.30 and the whole process was so smooth I cant actually say enough good things about it! we got all our bags said bye to Donald (the car!) and headed to check in desks and our cases were just under the limit (I'm talking about the limit was 23kg and we were 22.8kg!!!) we got straight through departures and we were searching for Frankie & Benny's by 8.30! talk about smooth!

we went to Frankie & Benny's and because we had stalked the menus for weeks before we knew pretty much what we wanted - 4 person pitcher of woo woo, breakfast burger with cheese for me, breakfast bagel for mam and she also wanted a coffee (while there is alcohol on the table?! is she crazy?!) we both agreed that the whole thing was amazing but I'm not going to lie I've been dreaming about the burger since I came back and only ate 1 burger on holiday incase it didn't measure up!!!!
Mams Bagel

My Burger

Woo Woo! and Coffee!

the pictures do not do it justice!!!

we were sitting and my mam received a text from her sister saying we were delayed by 20 minutes?! were we?! all our boards said we were on time but unfortunately they were correct and we left at 11.20 we had hoped to get in early but it just wasn't meant to be but who cares we were on our way to DISNEY!!!!!!!!!

Our lovely plane Jersey Girl

once we had taken off the complimentary drinks started coming round red wine for mam vodka for me to mix with my own Dr Pepper (I know I'm weird!) and then the turbulence started! now me personally I LOVE turbulence! but when you are balancing your drinks its not the best! it calmed down do I set my IPod up to watch my films I had downloaded and unfortunately because I hadn't reopened the app since my phone had automatically updated it, I couldn't play my films until I opened it in WI-FI mad so I decided to listen to my music.......only to find out one of my earphones wasn't working properly and just had an awful cracking noise!!!

then the food starting coming around now looking at the menu we had been given I chose the chicken as it was the only option that wasn't topped with cheese (I don't mind cheese in certain things but the options we were given I didn't feel the cheese taste would be too much for me) but by the time they got to us they had no chicken left I explained that I didn't think I would like the other 2 options because of the cheese and was told I should have put a special diet request in saying no dairy! I love every other dairy based item just not cheese, eventually they said they had a meal from premium economy they could get for me which was vegatable paella which came and I didn't have any because I really wasn't in the mood for eating now but mam had some and said it was nice but quite spicy so I wouldn't have liked it anyway!
They brought the pudding around and that just made uo for everything!!! it was delicious! it was passion fruit mousse

after lunch we had more turbulence yay however we had another balancing act and this was was worse and they turned the seatbelt signs on - as much as I was loving it I really didn't want to be scalded by my little cup of tea!

once we got over the turbulence me and mam were talking and I said something (I cant remember what) and she found it so hilarious that she spurted her mouthful of RED wine all down 1 side of me - I think its fair to say I was not impressed with her!!! the rest of the flight was pretty uneventful and we got a cute little snack box not long before we landed - the crisps amused me laugh

we ended up landing 36 minutes late!!! and we knew that all the other planes will have gotten in before us so we would have a loooooooong wait at immigration we were getting off the plane around 4pm (which isn't bad considering we were in the very back row of the plane! and joined the line luckily though because we met certain criteria we were able to use the new fast track system which I have to say is so smooth if you are able to use I would do so because were were through immigrations, collected bags and were sitting on the ME by 5pm!!! as we were sitting it started to rain sad not too much but we thought it will have passed by the time we got to POR it was a full on Monsoon!

pics from the bus

we checked in but the rain was still very heavy to we decided to go to bell hop and have them take us round - hands down the best tip money we spent the whole holiday!!!! we only had to walk about 20 steps and we were under cover we found our room and it was perfect location and everything i had requested on my fax had been granted
pics from the room

once we got all the bags in I decided to poncho up and brave the rain to get refillable mugs while mam unpacked

by the time I came back the rain was dripping off my nose.............yeah my plans for a solo DTD trip were off now!!!
we carried on with unpacking and I started feeling hungry so mam braved the rain with me to go get food from riverside meal and I got make you own pasta and cheesecake, by the time we were coming out the rain had stopped mostly yay but by now tiredness had started setting in and all I wanted was food and my bed!

we went to bed dreaming of the castle as it was MAGIC KINGDOM the next day yay

Wednesday 24th September

I woke up around 5.30 and mam about 6 (stupid time difference!) mam went and got drinks while I jumped in the shower we got our stuff ready and left the room by 8am

we arrived at the bus stop and waited until about 8.20 and got to MK with 4 mins to spare before welcome show started, mam very kindly offered to take the backpack so I could get through to see the welcome show (we had never been to the park early enough to see it) I found a great spot right at the back behind someone's stroller but unfortunately the family with the stroller decided that they would stop me from seeing (they looked around saw me standing there and moved everybody around sad ) I managed to get a half view and because I was right at the back with nobody behind me I lifted my phone up and got some quite good shots - I loved this little show and will make a point to get up early ad see it more often!

once I found my mam we headed straight for main street bakery I had this desire to try a one of their breakfast sandwiches and didn't last year so was making a point of it this year (plus Disney seems to be the only place they can make a nice strawberry frappuccino without lumps of ice in it!) mam had a latte and we split the sausage and egg sandwich OMG where had this been all my life?! it was like the Mcdonalds one......... but BETTER!!!!

we headed up to frontierland with our drinks and splash mountain had no wait so we went on and we got a whole log to ourselves!!!

once we came off I wanted to go back on front row - my mam's response was "off you go ill wait here!" so I went back round but there was only a few of us and instead of spreading us out they put everyone in the same log!!! I got pretty wet but I didn't mind this was one of my many things i wanted to do this holiday!! once I was done we used our FP to dry me off on BTMRR which we love so much!
We were running ahead of schedule and wanted to make the most of being in the park early we walked down and rode POTC in the front row and they have done something to it because we got a little wet on the drop!!!!

we then walked through for our FP for Peter Pan's Flight this is a really cute ride but not worth the long waits! we then went on to It's a small world because you have to do it at least once!
we had some time to kill before our Be Our Guest FP so we walked through the castle (touching the slipper!)

and caught the end on the Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it party which I adore!!!! once it finished (didn't get many good pictures) we walked back through for our BOG FP yay we both adore this place!!!!! we both had the braised pork (yummmmmmmmy!) and split a masters cupcake (with the grey stuff) and strawberry cupcake I have been dreaming about this meal since I came back personally I think its the best QS in a park but that may just be me!

I should note this was mascot Michaels only day out as we may or may not forgot him the rest of the trip (I feel like a bad mother!)
we headed out and it was time for our first ever ride on 7DMT yay wait was 80mins so we were pleased we had FP for it!I loved the ride the seats weren't comfortable but I was expecting a lot worse if I'm honest but I loved it so much!!! wouldn't wait 80mins though!

when we came off we had used all our FP up so we headed to the kiosk and managed to get FP for winnie the pooh for pretty much straight away so off we went again cute ride but not worth the wait! we got off and my phone needed some juice so mam headed back to the FP kiosk and I went to the tangled area to charge my phone (which I have to say is an amazing idea they should have more of them!) and she came back with news she got us Haunted Mansion FP for straight away! we sat for a little while I got more charge then walked round (stand by was very busy!) love HM!!! we had a look in a few shops when we came out everyone was lining up ready for the parade and because I wanted a really good view we went to our usual spot (Liberty square outside hall of presidents) I sat myself down and mam went and got sprite floats (yum!) the black clouds started rolling in and we prayed no rain (we were not so lucky!) it wasn't so bad and luckily it pretty much cleared up before they started the parade early and as we found out later it was actually a shorter parade than normal (we saw the full one later in the holiday!) we didn't actually have any pictures from this parade with the rain etc we forgot but the floats are out of this world!!! I'm not sure I'm on board with the song yet but I'm sure that will come with time!

we decided at this point we would head back to the room for a little rest before EPCOT.......

Wednesday 24th September - Part 2

we headed out of the room for EPCOT around 5.20 - that's enough time to get to Via Napoli by 7 we thought?
we waited at the bus stop until 6pm and no EPCOT buses had came so we asked another bus driver and he said the EPCOT bus was right behind great! unfortunatley the bus was full to bursting point there was a lot of us at the bus stop and we asked how long it would be until the next one because we had reservations to get to etc and he asked how many was in our party? and he said we could get on if we wanted so we did but then we waited ages while he found out when another bus would be coming - as we left the north depot he shouted if anybody wanted the east depot everybody shouted no so we set off, just as we were about to leave the resort this woman pushed her way to the front saying he didn't stop at east!!! so he had to drive all the way back round to drop her off we eventually arrived at EPCOT at 6.20 and everything just seemed to slow is down we eventually arrived with 2mins to spare phew! Via Napoli is a beautiful restaurant and servers were lovely and polite and he was patient with me when I was trying to decide what to have which was very helpful to me I had a prosciutto pizza and mam had veal parmigiana mam enjoyed hers and I did mine however it wasn't my favourite meal I should have gotten a pasta dish but I had my heart set on pizza and because I don't like tomatoes and am generally fussy it was a difficult task to find something but I did enjoy it

now the desserts!!!! we had Zeppole which I believe is cream cheese balls with cream and chocolate sauce and coppa Amarena which was like sundae they were both delicious I would love to go back to Via Napoli someday but probably wont be in the near future as we had so many other experiences that we enjoyed more.

we headed out as we were pretty tired and had sore feet but great day had!!!

Yay..Amy..Just been catching up on your report..I spoke to a fellow Rose & Crown member and he mentioned the rain for his first week in October..He went thro 4 pairs of shoes in 4 days all soaking ...anyway it's warm rain...Which building were you in at PORS ?...We have stayed at Parterre Place twice and once at Magnolia Bend..Keep up the great report..I didn't take many food photos as I've done it in the past and my wife just shakes her head when I start pointing my camera at the lens..Looking forward to more.. clapping P.S.Manchester airport was easier to get around than I thought, except we had to park our car at jet park 3 which seemed miles from the airport..Think I'll miss out on the Premier Inn next time and try another hotel at the airport..

Thursday 25th September

we were supposed to be doing rope drop at HS this morning to get a head start on ourselves but unfortunatley someone turned the alarm off instead of snoozing it and we didn't wake up again until 8.10! we got ready really quick and were ready to leave the room by 8.45 which I think is impressive! we didn't get a bus until 9.05 so rope drop was out of the question haha

once we arrived we headed straight for TSMM picking up olafs on sticks on the way! we had intended on riding stand by first then using FP but line was upto 80mins so FP it was

just as a little side note my fav colour is blue who do you think won???????????

we walked down towards rock n roller coaster but was closed (like the gates were shut and everything!!!) so we used our FP for TOT now I'm not a fan of this ride but mam LOVES it so being the amazing daughter I am I suffer and ride with her but always ask to be in one of the top corners as there is an extra handle to cling onto for dear life now as we were standing in the line mam says "with us having memory maker and they do the videos just be brave and go wherever they put you ok?" I agreed and guess where they put us?

ill give you a clue can you see the person that has transformed into olaf? yep that's me!!! front blimmin row!!!!! as you will notice my mam sitting next to me was clearly loving this front row experience!!!
the ride came to stop and we watched that little video clip but then the ride didn't turn around to let us off so we were sat in the dark for ages whilst sitting mam turns to me and says "maybe we are going again" she couldn't see my face but I think she could sense how I felt about this statement!!! we finally started to move but as we turned around another car was coming at us!!! I really thought we may crash but thankfully we didn't!

once we got off and my heart rate returned to normal and my legs went back to a normal feeling we set off towards the hat and stopped in the frozen shop I really wanted the limited edition olaf magic band and they still had them!!! (I don't have a picture but will do my purchases at the end!) I was so happy! we came out and found a spot for the welcome show (and I've either lost my pictures or didn't take any as I cant find them!)

we followed the parade through and rode star tours (it had a huge line but didn't take too long!!!) I love that ride so much more now then when it was the same scene every time! by the time we came out we were quite hungry so we went to ABC Commissary for lunch mam had bacon cheeseburger with shrimp and I had the seafood platter both were beautiful usually I go for burger but I didn't want something so heavy so the seafood platter was perfect for me! for dessert mam had strawberry parfait and I got.........olaf cupcake!!!! I was relieved they had some sort of cupcake as the chocolate cake is too rich and I don't like the strawberry parfait the parfait is my mams fav dessert I think (or one of them!) and my cupcake was delicious...... well the frosting was I didn't realise it was carrot cake and I don't like carrot cake (ducks for cover!!!) but was still the best dessert just for the frosting!!! we also got an extra cupcake because i had my birthday badge on!!!

after lunch we went to look in some shops and wandering oakens!!! it was crazy how much stuff they had!!! we decided to head over early to the frozen sing a long to make sure we could find it as I had read it wasn't easy to find and that was pretty accurate! it was chaos round there they need to either improve the signs or move it somewhere more organised! we were some of the first in so got really good seats I absolutely loved it and was pleased I had swapped my FP later in the holiday to watch this again I loved it way more than I thought I would!!!

after we came out we went to Muppets and it was full!!!!! never seen that for years after we came out of the Muppets we kinda just decided to go back to the room as the only things we hadn't done weren't possible (show times were too far away lines too long etc)

we had rain pretty much everyday for the first 10 days then it was gorgeous the rest!!!! we were in Arcadian house it was weird in 2012 we were in 8070, 2013 we were in 8071 then this year we were in 8065!!! we sent our fax asking for ground floor in either Arcadian or Magnolia and they couldn't have placed us any better than what they did!

I have to be honest my mam is very supportive of the food pictures she holds them for me like a model!!! haha plus I create a food folder when I'm home so I can imagine eating it again!

I have to say we found it so much easier than I imagined it was easier than our local airport Newcastle! we stayed in bewleys and I would strongly recommend it I think we paid PS60 for the room and it was so easy to find! and we used Manchester airport official meet and greet car park which was really cheap and I would recommend that too it was literally across the road from terminal 2 notes to make for the next one ey?!

you keep your report coming to you are inspiring me to keep going!!!

I miss my Olaf on a stick. None of ours survived the trip home intact.

Great report. Too many food pics though (I'm trying to diet).

Keep it coming.

JMed I rode it again on our second HS day and I came off and really enjoyed it!!! If you are worried ask to be in the back row in a corner personally it makes me feel much better knowing I have the cage right next to me and as mentioned you have a handle to hold on to I hope this helps you should definatly try it once - you might love it!!!

We loved memory maker we are not big on having our photos taken but we really enjoyed it!!!!

There is more food to come on mine too there is no escape colonel!

Great TR so far! ToT is my favorite ride and I love it when there is someone on the ride with us that is a little hesitant. They are always so much fun to watch laugh
BUT I don't like being on it when someone is scared to death. I had a grown man beside me this past spring, who completely lost his mind! He kept grabbing me, pulling my arms and my shirt and screaming "HELP ME" over and over again right in my face. He was hysterical! My husband had to reach over and pry his hands off me and push him off me. He wouldn't stop grabbing me. At the end of the ride he turned to me and said "I did it" and he was happy eek

once the ride gets going I scream as loud as my voice will allow but I quite enjoy it!!! I've never been at the point of grabbing people!!! that sounds horrific was he on his own?! surely if he was that scared he should have had moral support?! I'm hoping I have cured my fear of the ride now because the 2nd time we went on I really enjoyed it and even lifted a hand in the air eek

saying that we were on a flight to Spain one year and there was a guy about early 20's sitting in the 3rd seat on our row and it was his first flying experience I had to talk to him to distract him as we went up then when we got turbulence he grabbed my hand and wouldn't let go until the turbulence stopped!!!

We left room to head to EPCOT for our meet up with Alicemouse and the Colonel, we stepped out the door and mam said to me "Amy that sky looks like it might rain do you think we should take the ponchos?" and my response was "no we will be fine I'm sure" we turned around the corner and we were met with a sheet of rain!!! we went back to collect the ponchos and I can assure you long trousers and long dresses do not mix well with wet weather!!!

we finally made it to EPCOT but because of all the rain the dressing my mam had on her foot had come off so we asked at the entrance and they sent us to guest relations, once we got there we were greeted with a very pleasant man - unfortunately he was Japanese and didn't understand what we were asking for (we tried plasters, band aids, dressing everything and nothing seemed to work) we decided on the off chance to try mouse gears see if they had something and we ended up finding out that most stores on Disney property should be able to sell you basic first aid if needed!

while mam was sorting out her foot I saw I had a message from colonel saying they had ran back to beach club and I knew alicemouse and hubby were at beach club for an ADR and we needed to be at Yacht club for our ADR so I messaged back saying shall we walk to beach club but then Alicemouse text to say she was on her way to EPCOT so we just waited and hoped The Colonel would find us! it started raining (again!) so we went into the English tea shop where we chatted for a while about all different things (you need to take your hubby to universal so he can ride the Mummy ride!) then we got word from The Colonel to say they were on their way so we stepped outside to try and find them! once we were all together we were chatting but not long after we had to rush off for our ADR but we did manage to get a picture of all of us which I was pleased about

It was so wonderful to meet you guys and I really hope our paths cross again someday!

we set off walking to the Yachtsman and it didn't take as long as I thought we had actually only changed our ADR from Le Cellier to Yachtsman a couple of weeks before we left because the reviews for Yachtsman were outstanding and Le Cellier.......not so much! I'm so pleased we did we had a server called Lulu and she was so sweet and lovely she really made us feel so special we got ourselves a couple of cocktails (Blue Glowtini for me White Sangria for mam) and they were gorgeous!!!

I had the 18oz Kansas steak and mam had 12oz New York steak and both were amazing I loved my fries I'm pretty sure I can still taste those babies in my mouth right now as I type!!!!

then for dessert we both had yachtsman sundae which was wonderful!

Overall this was our favourite meal of the whole holiday but I think being signature dining helped it was a magnificent experience from start to finish and cant imagine it being any different! its firmly within the top 3 to visit next year only issue is money at the moment but if we can make it work I'm so there!
we headed out to the buses and a one came for MK we asked if we could jump on just so we could get to our bus stop and we had the bus to ourselves!!!! when we got near the driver asked which resort we were going to and she confirmed that was where she was heading and let us stop on instead of joining the back of the line this was the best luck of the holiday I think!!!! it wasn't long until we were back at the resort and soon asleep as we had a big day!!!
