Sorry I've not been around.....

I cant remember if I posted before but my mum had heart failure in September and I have spent most of my time looking after her, my dad is still working but as I'm not working I have been spending every day taking her out in her wheelchair, helping her dress, wash her hair etc. She has had a pacemaker fitted now and is slightly on the mend (she's still not good but better than she has been since she had the heart failure), so I have a bit more time to come on and catch up on the things I missed.

I have really missed being on here, I have missed the Disney updates and the friendliness of it so going to be on more again Smile

Hi Robynprincess. I know all about having a parent with a bad heart. My dad had a heart attack at age 37 and bypass surgery at 52. He's now 66 and his latest adventure was having a defribulator/pacemaker put in. I can honestly say it has helped him a lot. He's always been active, but his heart was only beating at 35% capacity which really slowed him down. The defrib/pacemaker has done a lot. He's more active than ever now. Hang in there. It takes a little time, but I'm sure your mom will start feeling better soon!

Wow. Sorry you have been going through all of that. Taking care of someone else can be quiet the work load. So glad to hear that she is recovering. Sending smiles and thoughts your way.

That is the same pacemaker that my mum has, her heart is beating out of time with itself so its there to regulate it. Mum has been told there is only a 75% chance it will make any difference but she is already feeling better than she was Smile

Robyn - we've missed you! Praying for you and your mom. Being a caregiver can be tough. I'm so glad you're back, and I look forward to hearing all about that super trip you and hubby are planning!

Thank you Lizzy muchlove Hubby's much doing much of the planning - he's leaving it all up to me (not that i mind though, if he leaves it all up to me we do all the things I want hehehe)
