Sponsored By Kleenex...

Ok..I'am convinced that Disney has a Kleenex sponsor...Why you ask ?...I've just watched two videos on a Disney site..One was a little girl getting told she was going to DL for her birthday and burst into tears, the other was a proposal in one of the parks, more tears..So here's my question..Have you ever been brought to tears whilst on vacation in Disney.?..Tell us your stories, before I tell mine... Sad(

Every vacation on the last day when I settle up the bill and hand over my wallet and it's contents to Disney.

Also I deleted your double post, BUT I deleted the one where MrFerret had posted his reply to you, I am sorry and if you could repost on this one,MrFerret, I would be thankful.

This is going to sound silly, but I actually cry at the end of "it's a small world." Looking at all those little animatronic children dressed in white, singing happily...I don't know why, but it just makes me tear up.

Lol...Well hopefully my story won't get deleted..On our last visit in 2012.. We were up at the railway platform watching "Wishes" on our last night..I was filming the fireworks but tears were welding up in my eyes..My DW said to me " Don't worry,we will return in two years."...But it wasn't the thought of not returning that was making me sob, I somehow started thinking of a good friend who had lost his fight with cancer..He kept putting off a Disney vacation with his wife and young son saying, next year for sure..Next year never came...It brought it home to me....Changed my outlook in life...

I know I've gotten teary-eyed at WDW, but for the life of me I can't remember specifics.

Oh, wait, here's one (just one of many):

Back in November 2011, when hubby wasn't able to come on our WDW trip, I was wandering around DHS on my last full day and happened upon the Osborne Lights when they'd just started playing Pachelbel's Canon. This was the tune playing when we entered the church sanctuary during our wedding. And coincidentally, back home Hubby was a couple of hours away from going to the symphony, and the Canon was going to be played there also. So I walked all over the Streets of America absolutely bawling.

Watching illuminations from Italy - back by the bridge near the lagoon. The concussions from the fireworks and the beauty of the whole scene made both of us tear up!!

The first visit to MK during a trip always gets me , the moment I step onto main street. Strangely Soarin always starts me off too :'(
Illuminations made me sob during our last trip but that was because I got burnt by ash from a firework

I cry during the ending of American Adventure when they play "Golden Dream" and the opening of the Festival of the Lion King.

Well, there are a few but....

the 2 biggest are coming and going...

1. I am SO ANTSY in the car as we get close, I can't sit still and I am shaking my legs ready to go... then I see the sign and the tears start.

2. I am SO SAD to leave. I am actually tearing up a little right now thinking about it. I know we will be back (because I say so LOL) but it is always a little heartbreaking...

Wishes. Every time. Sometimes I just go ahead and start during celebrate the magic.

Oh and that movie at the end of One Man's Dream. The first time I saw it, I started crying in the first 5 seconds just because I realized that Julie Andrews was the narrator. Now I can make it almost halfway through before the tears start.

When I saw the Osborne Lights for the first time...

I am not a "happy crier" and I am happiest when I am at Disney world. So it's only big smiles for me at WDW, no tears. However, if we weren't local and able to go to WDW every few weeks I would definitely cry the last day at MK when I had one last look at the castle from the end of Main Street!

We have become happy criers. After having such a horrible 2013 and burying DH's mom for New Years he and I seem to cry on queue at all the little moments. Watching older couples in the park gets me. The biggest tears of joy for me are during wishes. I just decided to accept and enjoy the moment.

You pretty much hit them all-

American Dream and listening to the Hall of President's speech (Gettysburg grabs me because I taught it for many years).
Wishes, Fantasmic, many lines in Illuminations (even the lines they have now deleted because I have a recording)
DH knows to wait as we enter and leave MK that I "need a moment" because the castle is that symbol. muchlove

Even signs up for refurb are goosebumps because they remind us all that "It's fun to do the impossible."
Phil - I don't think it's silly at all to tear up on SMALL WORLD. The whole message isn't lost on me despite the age of the ride. It's one place where we all live. awesome

My DS2 last night on our drive home from pit orchestra, mentioned that his first adult trip was so special he will go back for the rest of his life (that got me) AND the moment he, age 21 at time, saw Remi in France and was beside himself with joy. I couldn't help it. It's special when you know you made it a Disney moment for an adult child, and now they are hooked for life. biggrin

For me this last year it was the MK Welcome Show! As soon as the train came down the track I started bawling excited/elated tears, and I turned around to see my mom doing the same thing mickey

So I am getting teary eyed reading how everyone else gets teary eyed laugh It's such a wonderfully magical place and just thinking about being back there makes my eyes get wet, but I am also one of those people that has to take a moment when we step onto Main Street.
