Street Rat's Fantasy Pretrip Report

So in August, we are heading out on the Disney Fantasy for a 7 day cruise. This is my first time on a cruise, Disney or otherwise. My usual MO for a vacation is to plan, plan, plan, especially meals. Since we won't know our dining order until we get on the ship, I have been obsessing about port excursions instead. I need something to fill my planning need!
Here is what I have so far:
Day 1: We set sail!
Day 2: At sea, one word...Aquaduck!
Day 3: Cozumel, Mexico. Swim with Dolphins excursion for all of us.
Day 4: Grand Cayman. Stingray City Snorkel
Day 5: Jamaica. I really wanted to do the Bobsled ride but the excursion begins at 7:30. Way too early for me, I think this may be a shopping/beach day for us
Day 7: At sea, so..you guessed it...Aquaduck, Aquaduck, Aquaduck
Day 8: Castaway Cay: rent bikes for a ride around the island, rent tubes for the beach
My DH and I will probably eat at Palo one night but not yet sure which one, probably day 5 or 6. I am also booking the Royal Princess Tea for DD6 and my MIL. DD6 will be turning into DD7 on the cruise and is still very much into the princesses.

If anyone has any recommendations or suggestions, feel free to share. The only definite right now is Swim with the Dolphins.

Have never been on a cruise so I can't quite comment. My first trip to WDW will be this October, and we will be going on our first cruise right after that! Will not be on DCL, but still excited all the same. Your plan looks great!

I'm so excited for you!!!! yay A 7 day cruise is very relaxing. I have a couple of recommendations - plan on Palo for a sea day - that way you don't have to worry about rushing back from your port excursion. awesome Also, plan on doing your onboard shopping before the last sea day as it will get crazy! The Aquaduck is a lot of fun! Be sure to check out the adult pool and pool bar..... muchlove

No matter what you do, you will have an amazing time! mickey

I love cruising! I havent been on a Disney cruise yet...but someday!
If you havent found it already...you can go to Cruise Critic and find your
"Roll Call".. its a great way to meet people who will be on your sailing.
Enjoy....I love the planning process!!!!

Thanks for the Roll Call tip! I have also been wondering if there is a site specifically for the fish extenders... I've been so focused on the November WDW trip I haven't even looked into all the cruise stuff! waiting
