T-Rex or Raainforest?

Both? My boys have put both on their where at Disney lists. They say an army travels on it's stomach. If that is so then my boys are an army of two that eats like 20. eek 2 of us are gluten-free and I'm vegan. How do they compare? THNX

Ate at both..Yes your paying more for the theme than awesome food, but in 2012 we tried T-Rex and the three of us had steaks ( Me the T- Bone ) and they were very good..The onion ring stack for starters was huge..I had a look at the menu recently and I'm sure they have cut back on their steak choices.Id go for Rexy...Try and snag the blue ice cave area..

Have only been to the Rainforest...it's ok, as long as you're prepared to put up with a tropical rainstorm every 15 minutes and eating in subdued lighting. Thought about going into the T-Rex before, but both times travelled with people who weren't keen on spending money so never got the chance to go...

I have only eaten at T-Rex in Disney. We have a Rainforest Cafe right in my town, so it is not that exciting for me. However, having eaten there, I am not that impressed with the food, so I think there are better choices in AK.

Just like Nikkimouse, we have a Rainforest Cafe 15 min. from us. Sometimes, when my daughter and I really need a Disney fix, we will eat there. We did toy with the idea of doing T-Rex, but decided against it. We figured with all of the construction at the time at DTD, we skipped it.

Keep in mind, TRex, Rainforest, and Yak and Yeti are all part of the same company (Landry's), and they have a loyalty card. This gets you faster seating, birthday meals. They also accept gift cards.

We have eaten at a Rainforest in Niagara Falls - worst meal ever! Inedible! And we are not picky eaters. If you are choosing a restaurant in AK, I'm with NikkiMouse - there are so many better choices.

If your kids love dinosaurs, T-Rex can be fun. We ate there a couple of years ago, without kids, and we're wheelchair We still had a lot of fun watching the kids react to the moving dinosaurs, etc., and quite enjoyed the 'show'. Our meals were good too - no complaints. Be prepared though - it is LOUD. Very, very loud!!!

They are owned and run by the same company, so the food at both places is pretty much the same. We never had a bad meal at either place. The flat breads are really good at T-Rex. We do breakfast at Rain forest quite often.

Personally I would go to the T-Rex since I've never been. I do really enjoy the Rainforest Cafe though.

Well, there's only two locations for T-Rex franchise compared to 32 for Rainforest Cafe. I don't know about everyone else but if you have a small number of franchises in a chain, generally speaking, quality will be somewhat better and given more attention. Never been to Rainforest Cafe in Disney World. It always seems overrated to me and a Planet Hollywood equivalent with all theme and nothing for food. Based on what I've read from all the various sites, people seem to like T-Rex more than Rainforest Cafe.

I haven't been to TRex but I'm never impressed by the Rain Forest Cafes. I would let the boys pick the one they want to go to more, but make them chose.
