Thanks! I don't want to be stressing out at the end so trying to get everything situated now so I won't have that much to do when it gets closer. I am super excited to see how everything turns out.

Haha! I didn't think about that! It seemed like everything I picked was taken and I was so excited to be engaged. I wonder if it can be updated later.

Hey guys so I got my dress today! yay So excited. I was seriously having an anxiety attack this morning about it after having nightmares last night that nothing I liked was going to be going over my butt. lol. But everything the consultant put on my I got up and almost every dress I tried on I could do up except a few buttons. So that was really nice and didn't make me too terrible about myself. The one tulle layered one I was totally in love with I tried on but it did nothing for my figure but it was a truly beautiful dress! The one I picked was actually the second one I tried on and there was just something instantly I loved about it. I just knew that it was the dress. And it actually has a key hole back which I was not looking at all because I didn't know if I would want to show that much back. But I think my Gizmo was with me today (my horse that passed away in 2014) because the back just perfectly frames my tattoo of him. I feel like he was there and influenced my dress. I also picked out a very pretty veil too. I love love love this dress. muchlove I am just sad I won't see it again for about 10 months or so! lol Oh and added bonus it was on the sales rack!

muchlove Thank you everyone!!!! I am totally in love with it. I didn't even want to take it off when I was there. I love how the sash makes my waist look > < this big! lol. I decided to store it at the Bridal shop so that it didn't get yucky or anything at my house. I am super excited about it. And I can't wait to put it on again in about 10 months for fittings. So no gaining weight! I can loose a little but it fits so perfect I'd like to stay the same. Right now all they have to do is the hem work and the bustling and then they said the would put something in the back to make the back lay nice and flat. Getting very excited. I am glad I can get all this big stuff out of the way early so that I am not freaking out about it at the end. I know the year is going to go by crazy fast. awesome

Thanks everyone! I have no doubt that it will go by fast. Right now I feel like I am in a wedding lull lol. Here is what I have gotten done so far.

Booked the Location
Asked all my maids (They all said yes)
We are doing pot luck for food
Ordered and received the Save the Dates (won't be mailed until December)
Got the dress!
Booked the DJ
Booked the Photographer
Cake tasting will be done after Christmas per the Bakery
Guest list is complete just need addresses now.

So I think that is everything that I have done so far. Right now I am working on finishing my ginormous barn so money is tight but once I am open hopefully I can get a few more boarders in and start making money. I already have a few horses coming in but I have two more open stalls. But is there anything else I can be doing at this point? I have been looking at invitations but I have not ordered or anything yet. Deciding on which ones and determining the exact details of everything still.

Pinterest is your friend (and your enemy)! Start saving ideas for decor, invites, hair styles, etc. I was a planning freak as it was and had so many DIY projects that I am actually very relieved that I didn't know about Pinterest (if it was even around yet) when I was planning my wedding or I would have been broke and never gotten anything done, even with a 2.5 year engagement! There are also tons of apps you can download that can give you suggestions for stuff that you can be working on (gift registries, transportation, etc)

My board on pinterest. I love this site it is so helpful at times when I can actually put words to what I have pictured in my mind. Thinking maybe I should work on the boutonnieres because they are used with Disney pins I have multiples of. And wouldn't cost that much to make right now. I can store them with everything.

I found I really good site where I can buy tables clothes for cheap. It was $129 for all the tables. And then I find another website that has super cheap plates and utensils in bulk that are the colors I want but also plastic so easy clean up! It was like $50 for a box of 500 plates.

I have downloaded a wedding plaindroid app that has a list of things to do a certain points which has been helpful. At this point I have everything done up to about the 8th month mark. So that isn't until January/February.

Ok, So I found this site on Etsy too and they just released a couple of Haunted Mansion cake toppers that I think are to die for (pardon the pun). I can not for the life of me find ANYTHING I like that is a cake topper from Tangled. Everything else looks cheap or I just don't like it.

And there is this Mickey and Minnie one that is cute plus would have our name and year on it.

I like the Mickey one better than the Haunted Mansion ones. I think it will fit with your theme much better and it has a look of something you could display somehow in your future home.

I agree with Tink. I love the Haunted Mansion ones but the Mickey and Minnie with the castle ties into the theme a bit better, IMO.

Yes, I agree I think the Mickey and Minnie one is best suited. And I like the fact that it would have our last name on it and the year.

Dress is Beautiful! You look fantastic. But does future hubby visit this site. He really should be suprised and see you in it for the first time on wedding day. I don't believe that it is bad luck for him to see you in it before hand, but what a fantastic surprise it would be to see you first thing, coming down the isle. I remember seeing my wife for the first time in her dress. Wow, what a memory.

Continued good luck on your planning.

He does not belong to this site. I am the Disney crazy one. He loves WDW but he isn't as big of a Disney freak like me. He is more likely to be interested in something with a motor lol. Right now he is finishing up my big barn and then he will be back on his Mega Truck build. That is the event he proposed to me at was a big mud truck event called Vermonster. It has been featured on Trucks Gone Wild and a few magazines as well. And yes I am a very big traditionalist when it comes to the wedding we will be spending the night before the wedding apart and he will not see me until I walk down the aisle with my dad the next day. I definitely want a photographer to capture the look on his face when he sees me for the first time. He got emotional proposing to me. Actually I really should post the video if I can figure out how to do it. Lol
