Ok, I need help. I need to decide on the music for everything. Here is what I have so far:

My Walk Down the Aisle:

Our Fist Dance Song:

Daddy-Daughter Dance

Mother-Son Dance

So All I really need to what the groomsmen and my bridesmaid walk down to and I have NO IDEA! confused confused
I was thinking something Disney but not sure what. I was initially thinking Married Life from Up because I love it, but going from that to "At Last I see the Light" Is hard to tell when that one ends and the new one begins.

Are you going to use the entire songs for coming down the aisle? How long is your aisle? Have you timed the walk to the music? As long as you have someone to cue you when to walk, I don't see a problem with the transition.

I have not, but its not that long. I haven't worked out all the kinks yet, but my plan is the come out of the house and walk down the "aisle" which is in the back yard. So I don't think I will be able to do the whole song especially the "At Last I have Seen the Light" because it is like 4 minutes long. I was almost thinking of doing this for when the guys and gals walk down the aisle as it is cute and fun! And then play "At Last I see the Light" when I come down.

Ok guys I am thinking that I need some alternative options for the centerpieces. At $40 a piece for 26 centerpieces for what I originally wanted to do its really expensive! And honestly they are flowers so they are just going to be thrown our something afterwards. So I either want to go smaller or do something completely different. Any ideas?

Coming from a former bride, we spent a TON on flowers for our centerpieces and I don't think I even noticed them. Get yourself a nice bouquet for pictures and walking down the aisle and then scrap the rest. Just my opinion. Google or Pinterest "budget centerpieces" to get the creative juices flowing.

I'm 100% with Allie on this. I'm SO glad we spent a minimum amount on flowers. My bouquet doubled as flowers on our sweetheart table (no head table for us) and my sister's bouquet was small and became a table decoration near our dessert table (we had pie not cake). In all the weddings I've ever attended there is only ONE that I remember the flowers at. So IMO save money here. You can TOTALLY do lanterns for less that $40 per table. We got ours at Pier 1 and they were maybe 10 a table. They were a beautiful teal blue. They were a great centerpiece size, not to small and not to tall. And they made for incredible pictures later in the evening. Check out this link.

Oh, we then kept a couple of lanterns for ourselves for a patio and the rest we gave to family. Though you could easily sell them for half price online and get back half the money.

We got quoted $1100 for our flowers, and that was going with carnations instead of roses. I pretty much had a heart attack. My bouquet itself is $200. I'm just like AH! they are just going to die! Why so expensive!

Thanks so much!!! I don't get out much we apparently have one of these store like 45 minutes away from so not too bad. I have looked on amazon but everything looks cheap, or its expensive as heck!

I am really digging these ones!

Yes they are! I just bought a ton of Chinese lanterns to hang everywhere! Going to put battery powered tea lights in them so they glow at night.

You're very welcome! Be careful to look at the size of the lanterns. I LOVE the one you picked out but it is a mini...you might want to look for a midsize one for centerpieces. They have that one in small and large (and it seems like there's an extra tall one too). We bought real candles for the centerpieces. I think ours were from Michaels, JoAnns or AC Moore so I used a 40% or 50% off coupon. They were plain white or creme and came in packs of like 6 or 8. I would bring my DH and we would each use a coupon on one pack until we had enough. I'm pretty sure they lit them at the start of the event and they stayed burning throughout the evening. So if the LED ones are a bit pricey they real ones are pretty inexpensive. I'm trying to find a picture of our tables with the lanterns to give you an idea of the scale...

Yeah I see the dimensions and they maybe too small. I think I might run to the store this week and see them in person see if they will work. I found another site that was a wholesale sight there are a couple on there that are between 10 and 12 inches tall that I really liked too. Links are on my computer at work.
Lookie what I found on Ebay today from Disneyland Tokyo! So cute! Its a ring pillow, it was a little expensive but I couldn't pass it up! Its Rapunzel's crown! I can't wait, it won't be here for at least other month though!

Haha! I knew you ladies would like it! It was 49.99 on ebay from Disneyland Tokyo. But it was so cute I had to have it! They have so much Rapunzel merchandise over there! They also had all the princesses crowns just like this.
So I found a wholesale place that sells some lanterns these are my three favorite.

https://superwholesaler.com/wholesale/23734-moroccan-lantern-medium-black-purple

https://superwholesaler.com/wholesale/37439-white-fancy-candle-lantern-with-stand

https://superwholesaler.com/wholesale/23768-moroccan-lantern-medium-white-pattern

What do you all think? The purple one is the smallest at just under 11 inches tall.

I like the middle one the best, but I think that's because I like the stand.

I like all of them! It just depends on what you want the rest of the table to look like. They will give your tables totally different looks. If your table cloths are colored then I say the white ones. If you have white table clothes then maybe the purple ones or if you choose the white ones maybe add some colored chargers underneath them or small purple fabric swatches underneath to add splashes of color.

True, my tablecloths are Ivory, with a lilac organza overlay. So I was thinking the purple ones because they are black and would stand out a bit more, but the white is very pretty and more wedding like.

https://www.etsy.com/listing/246826078/fairytale-wedding-luminary-cinderella I was also going to purchase these to put around the lantern, maybe two per table?

And these with some candles.

I like the purple ones! Plus for a solid thing like that I don't know if you'd want it much taller then 11 in. People will want to be able to see over them. awesome

Plus the bonus of lanterns over flowers is you can try and resell them after the wedding.

Both valid points! I could definitely sell those lanterns. I am on a bunch of wedding Facebook groups and people are always looking for stuff like this. So that would be awesome to make some money back. I also plan on selling the table cloths and overlays that I purchased.

If you have the purple overlays I think the white will pop more. Even with the white table cloths underneath the tables will probably look mostly purple. I think the black and purple might drowned in the sea of purple.

Can you order one of each and see which you like (do a mock table set up somewhere) or is there significant shipping cost?

Shipping is only 8.45 if I get one each so that isn't too bad. That is a possibility for sure! I just paid on the other flowers so I will have to wait until next month to get the lanterns.

Went to a Wedding Reception last weekend and they did lanterns at the tables. They looked great. The used the battery powered tea lights as well and actually got some that "flickered". Apparently they are not any more expensive for the flicker feature.

I don't imagine so, I think I am going to buy mine in bulk from amazon, I think I found some on there that were super cheap. I need to get a bunch to stick inside the Chinese lanterns as well, can't have real candles as they are paper lanterns!

Not much to report here, I just finished the guys' boutonnieres. This is Adam's. His best man has Pluto, one of his brothers is Tigger, the other brother is Piglet, and I can't for the life of me remember who I picked for his friend. Then for our dads I picked Orange birds. I was going to do the country bears ones I have but I only have one set and I really like those ones. And I am pretty sure the orange birds I have are scrappers so it doesn't hurt my feeling too use them.

We got a tent the best price I could find was $1924 for a 40 x 80 with 200 chairs and 24 5' round tables and two 8' long tables for the wedding party. We are splitting that cost with my parents.

I rented the porter potties, the flowers are now paid in full.... We did the cake. I don't know if I mentioned it or not but the cake is a five layered. The top tier is a 6" of gluten free Carrot Cake with creme cheese frosting. Then the rest is cupcakes. There is chocolate, vanilla, apple spice, carrot cake, and chocolate peanut butter. It is very simple our layer starts with white then it goes to light purple and ends in dark purple on the bottom. Out cake will be covered in fondant and have a crisscross design on it with mickey heads in the points where the lines cross. The cupcakes will have little pearls on them mini black ear hats on top.

I bought a white and purple Easter basket for 7 bucks at Wal Mart for flower girl. Score! Now I just have to get my plush Pascal to stick on there. And the ring pillow came in and its SUPER cute! We also got our personalized Koozies which came out awesome, but I don't have a picture of those with me.

Other than that I don't think I have anything new. I haven't ordered the lanterns yet, I just ordered the guest book, but I haven't received it yet. Its custom ordered too so will take a bit.

The jewels lol. I got the necklace from the Bradford Exchange, its a Disney necklace and very cute. And the earrings were just off of Amazon because I don't normally wear earring so I got cheap ones. Hoping a relative or a friend may have a pearl bracelet I can barrow as my something borrowed. And also attached is our guest book which is being printed on canvas. Each family will sign a balloon and we can hang it on our wall in our home. clapping
