Others have cool Disney tie-ins for their team name. I'm happy with mine though; I'm a big Hershey Bears fan. If I think of something Disney related between now and FF season that's relevant to me I s'pose I can have a change of heart.

Hershey won the Calder Cup this past season, didn't they?

They did, they did indeed. Their record TENTH clapping I've got season tickets at the blue line for 09-10, on the glass! Hockey season can't start soon enough. Since it came up, I would recommend anyone that likes sports even a little bit, give hockey a chance. Hockey games live are better than any of the other major pro sports (to me), and I've been to all of them (football, basketball, baseball).

I'm in total agreement here except for when it comes to team loyalties. My AHL team is the Portland Pirates, as they are (as of last season) affiliated with my NHL team, the Buffalo Sabres.

Nothing wrong with that. I'm a 'home team' kind of guy. Grew up watching the LA Kings. Moved to Nashville just before they got the Preds. Followed them faithfully since. Now I live in Hershey, so it's the Bears for me and their affiliate Caps (though I still love the Preds).

My AHL team is the Rochester Americans and I'm lucky enough to live in Raleigh and we have the NHL Hurricanes. Given that the Triangle is home to extremely avid sports fans, there is a lot of fan support for the 'Canes. Hoping to make it to a game this season.

We also have a great sports bar in town, owned by a former Buffalonian who actually serves great fish frys and GARBAGE PLATES!!! yay Feels almost like home!!
